Very slick, simple

Got this for Easter egg prep. A friend has plans for the kids to paint by throwing eggs full of paint at a Canvas. Last time we spent the night before trying to crack eggs just right. I saw this and figured I’d give this a try. Well works great. Just press against the egg and let the weighted spring pop the egg makes a nice clean cut. I’m using this on raw eggs and no issues. I don’t want to start a Lilliputian war or anything but I found that it does work best on the pointy side of the egg. I think this is only because the eggs are raw. Cooked eggs I really don’t think it would matter. Cleans easy enough. If you really want and easy clean cut on your egg, this works great.

It was a little hard for me to figure out how to work it. No instruction of course but it is ok, not magical.

Diameter is not large enough but the product cuts the egg shell well.

Tried it for the first time today. The first egg I was learning how to use it. I did better on the second egg. Both eggs came out with unbroken yolks and no little pieces of shell in them. I did it while holding the egg in my hand. I may try it by sitting the egg in something to see if that makes a difference in ease of use.

The little top that is supposed to open the egg doesn’t work right or it’s too small. When it tries to work and FINALLY partially opens the egg, I can’t get the egg out of the shell because the hole is too little.

Opening eggs and it does exactly that! It takes a couple of times using it for a person to become proficient with it and have good repeatable proformance but I like it.It does what it's designed to do.

I watched the video for this and it looked so easy. Well it's not. I made more of a mess trying to use it than when I just crack the egg and hope it doesn't go all over my hand. I'll keep trying but not sure it was worth the money. Reminds me of the movie "Sabrina" with Audrey Hepburn when she is with Humphrey Bogart in his office and makes dinner throwing together whatever he has in stock. She says "it's all in the wrist." Maybe not my wrist, but why use something that doesn't work every time and then have to wash it?
