Solid Electric Bidet From Luxe
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This Luxe Bidet E890 was delivered to me on December 6th, 2018 and I installed it the same day. It is now December 27th so I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and wanted to be the first person to write an Amazon review on it.Before you consider buying any electric bidet, make sure you look at the sizing requirements to make sure it will work with your toilet. If you look at the pictures on Amazon for this Bidet, you will see the sizing requirements in one of the pictures. Do yourself a favor and take off your current toilet bowl seat and get a tape measure to make sure it meets the requirements, the last thing you want to do is order this and get it all unboxed to find out you have to ship it back because it won’t fit your toilet correctly. This is an electric bidet, which means you need to have an electrical outlet near your toilet in order for it to work correctly so make sure you have that as well.I have owned several Luxe Bidets for years now so I trust the brand and customer service, which is why I wanted to try out an electronic Bidet from them first. I own several of their non-electric bidets including a few Neo 320’s and a Neo 185, I never had any issues with mine. My 92-year-old grandmother has a Neo 320 I installed at her house and she cleaned it a little too hard one day and broke it. I called Luxe and they shipped us a new one free of charge without hassle, I was sold on the company ever since. If I am going to buy an electric bidet for $500, I need to make sure the company selling it is going to take care of any potential problems I encounter. From my past experience with Luxe, I feel confident they will should something arise.Luxe Bidets are very popular on Amazon, just do a search for “Bidet” on Amazon and you will see a ton of their Bidets have very positive reviews from thousands of people. They just came out with these two new electronic models within the last few months, the E890 (the one I bought) and the other model, the E850. The E850 is $100 cheaper and the only difference is it does not have a remote control, same features. You operate the E850 by using the control panel that sits to the right of you while you are sitting on the toilet. I figured what is another $100 and got this one with the remote and I’m glad I did.So let me talk about the installation first, it is not difficult but the user manual needs some big changes. I actually installed it wrong the 1st time, when the bidet seat failed to slide on easily I realized my mistake. The user manual does not tell you where the two washers go so I put them in the wrong place originally. I put them on top of the metal adjustment plate between the screw and adjustment plate, which is wrong. I could not tell where the washers were supposed to go until you look at the picture here on Amazon that says “Install the Catch Plate” and it shows you exactly how it needs to be done. The only problem with all of this is the user manual and the picture Luxe uploaded here on Amazon are telling you to install it in different ways. The picture here on Amazon tells you to place the rubber tubes under the toilet bowl whereas the user manual tells you to “insert the inflated rubber tube set into the mounting holes on the toilet bowl.” I just followed the picture here on Amazon since it at least tells you where the washers go and so far, it has worked fine. Also, make sure you install the metal “Adjustment Plates” with the flat side facing down like in the Amazon picture. I hope Luxe corrects the user manual to show you where the washers go and they need to upload an installation video of it here on Amazon and on the product page on their website; I am not sure why they have not done that yet considering the product has been out for months already. The rest of the installation was easy; you just connect it to your fresh water source that supplies your toilet like any other bidet and then plug it into an electrical outlet. They do supply a metal T-Adapter in the box but I didn’t use it since I already had one connected from the previous bidet I was using. Here is a list of the positives and negatives:POSITIVES:---I’ve been using it for weeks without any leaks or issues, all the features I’ve used on the remote control have seemed to work fine. No major problems or huge annoyances so far.---It does a good job of getting you clean down there but the pressure is not as high as the Luxe mechanical bidets. When you dab yourself dry with toilet paper, it is just water only as it should be.---The remote has several different settings for water/seat temperature and it heats up the water right away. When I switch temperature for the water, it is almost instant and doesn’t run out. I have heard some electric bidets have a reservoir for hot water; this one makes it warm instantly on demand. ---The heated seat is awesome, nothing like sitting down on a nice warm seat when you get up at night or in the morning.---This bidet has a built in dryer, I have used it a few times and it seems to work fine. I just prefer to dab myself dry after I’m all done so I haven’t used this feature all that much but it seems to do the job if you prefer to air dry. There is also a night light feature; it shines a blue LED into your toilet bowl so at night you can see it. I turned this feature on for a few nights but I already have a night light in my bathroom so I do not really use this feature.NEGATIVES:---The user manual is hot garbage; you can easily tell there was no proofreading done AT ALL. It did not even mention where the washers were supposed to go during the installation, washers are not even listed in the user manual on the “Parts Included” page but they come in the box. There are a few times I actually laughed while reading through the user manual because it was that comically bad, here is a direct passage from page 16 so you have an example.“Close supervision is required for children, elderly, patients, retardedor disabled people to use this product.the temperature shoule be set in thelow or off level when sit down after, and asked the companion to obeservethe situation and then use. Be awared of low-grade burns,do not useit for too long time.”That passage was taken directly from page 16 in the user manual, fortunately, the directions for installing it were not as bad but some parts of the user manual are ridiculously bad. Bad user manuals have always been a pet peeve of mine.---The water pressure is not as high as you get on the Luxe mechanical bidets. With the Neo 320/Neo 185 you could give yourself an enema if you turned up the pressure all the way. I know the problem is not my home’s water pressure because I had a Luxe Neo 320 before I installed this electric bidet and I’m sort of missing the water pressure it had compared to this electric one. This electric bidet still cleans you well but I wish the highest-pressure setting was much more powerful than it is, you can really blast the water with the Luxe mechanical bidets but not so with this electric one.SUMMARY:So what is my final verdict? For the 1st generation of Luxe electric bidets I feel like they did a pretty good job overall. I have not seen or encountered any major issues; everything seems to work as advertised. I will have to give it 4 out of 5 stars since there is some room for improvement. I would give it 5 stars if the water pressure that comes out of the nozzle could reach similar strength as the Luxe mechanical bidets. Don’t get me wrong, it still cleans you fine but the highest pressure setting on the remote should be at enema inducing strength. All the other features seem to work fine, if I encounter any major issues I’ll be back to update this review. So is it worth $500 for this electric bidet? If you plan to use all the luxury features then it is worth it, you are paying the price for those. If you just want a basic bidet that gets you clean and does not require an electrical outlet nearby then grab the Luxe Neo 320 or 180/185. Once you get use to a heated seat and warm water hitting you instead of cold, it may be hard to go back to the basic models though haha.I uploaded pics and a video of this bidet as well so make sure to check it out.---‐-----------------Edit (Update Aug 21st 2020):Just wanted to update this review, it's now August of 2020 and this bidet is still going strong. No issues or anything with it so far and it's used every day in a master bathroom. The price of this bidet when I bought it was $500+ and now I see the price has dropped and it's currently less than $300 so pretty solid pricing now.

Don’t buy if your your a female
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Pros:easy to unboxEasy to install, did it myself in under 20 minutesGreat remote with lots of options for my spouse and IWater heats up quicklyPressure of water is adjustableWater nozzle position is changeable (good for posterior wash, but not for feminine wash-see below)Adjustable heated seatAdjustable dryer temperatureCons:Position of water spray for feminine wash. -I feel like I need to do yoga positions to clean my feminine area after I urinate. The nozzle position is just not right, for the front section. I thought it might just be me, but I have asked a few friends to use it, thinking they would say that it was just me, but nope, say response. You must move around while seated, side to side (I suppose you could use the change nozzle position as well for this) but then you also need to lean WAY forward to complete the rinse.Weak dryer flow It is terrible, especially for the amount of money I spent on this. This is the main reason why I gave this product such a low score. I could live with moving around to make sure the Front section was rinsed, but the dryer flow is SO WEAK! It takes two drying cycles to dry my feminine area, that’s 8 minutes!!!!!!! I am not looking for a dryer that has the force of a days on bathroom hand dryer, but this thing has less force than my hair dryer of the low setting. I don’t have 8 minutes of my day to devote to drying my undercarriage, and that is 8 minutes each time, so realistically up to 8 times a day! Over an hour to dry my lady parts, a day, not cool and not happening! I will be seeing what I can do to return this. Now with all my private complaints over, my husband likes it, says it does a good job, no complaints except the night light doesn’t shut off and that’s a waste of energy. Lol! But I didn’t buy this for him it is for me!

You will never feel cleaner! This is amazing, great quality!
So, you're looking for a relief from hunting toilet paper in these end of times, well you've come to the right place! I know, it's a weird thing for Americans, the bidet, but just because you may not be used to it, doesn't mean it's gross or wrong. In fact, it's the most right thing you'll ever agree with. You know those times of endless wiping, and even after 5 minutes you still feel unclean and hope you don't get sweaty because you might smell like butt? No more! No need to wipe, let the warm water clean you right where it counts. Don't pre smear it around, just let it go it's thing. This bidet is the real deal. Warm seat to comfort your bum, a pre-clean of the nozzle when you sit down, a warm water massage after you've gone (for the ladies parts too !) A warm dryer to dry you off. You don't even need toilet paper! And you'll never want to number 2 outside your home ever again.Super easy to install, plug it in, you're good to go. Plus, a night light so even in the dark you know where to go. Pun intended. Multiple heat settings, and a warm/cold massage if you want it.I'm very happy with this, and my bum is too. No feeling unsure when you're doing those yoga cats and cows!Go on, you know you want it. Don't be ashamed. Your superior cleanliness will prevail!EDIT - Dec. 2020 - Still so happy with this. I recently had an issue though and needed help. I emailed the company which opened a ticket and we worked back and forth via email and solved my issue. Great product, and great company. I still stand behind this review, or should I say sit?!
