Arrived securely packed in a separate envelope, the graph squares are not overly dark, but dark enough to see them. Many brand name journals print the graph lines too light for me to see. The cover is nice with the band, and it has a ribbon to mark pages. It is sewn and lays flat. The pages are somewhat rounded with a small margin.I do wish the paper was heavier because while drawing my pencil point put a hole through the page. My book does not have an inner pocket.

The size, paper quality, the flexibility, the cover material are perfect for what I wanted. Bought one for myself and then ordered another for my husband because I knew he would like it too for work.
