Good value

Pleased with the step by step approach. Of course you are copying but results are so much better and have tackled ones not shown in the book. If you want to draw and fed up with limited outputs then this is for you.

This book is wonderful. As an absolute beginner, I’ve been astonished at what I’ve been able to create with its help.

I found it helpful but could not follow the order selected by the author. To start with a random stroke in the middle of nowhere and then a few more apparently random strokes also made little sense. However, the finished drawing was the most useful reference point so I started from there, and then it all did make sense.

Shows you how from scratch. A new art class member who had never drawn before, was doing shapes only, was given this and drew a very good flower. Ideal..

I love this series of books - highly recommended if you are learning to draw - whatever your age.

Not basic, not much instruction or step by step. Not very inspiring.

This book is too basic for me, and does not give details of how to achieve the results I'm looking for.More suited for people who want to copy a drawing rather than learn artistic techniques. I have gained something from the book, not what I wanted though.
