First of all there were so many pieces to this set we didn't even use them all (ran out of time to decorate), most notably the pom-poms. The decorations themselves were very easy to hang, came in a well-organized plastic bag so that none of the ornaments were all tangled around each other. The banner itself had long enough ribbons that the banner could be hung in a large space (or a smaller one if you desire) and the letters spaced easily. The 40 swirls had plastic hooks on the top already attached so all you needed to do was hang them, not put them together first. They made for a very festive and special atmosphere even with the half of them we actually used! Oh, and we gave the pom-poms to the kids to put together and play with! If you are planning on having a 40th Birthday (or anniversary) party, don't hesitate to buy this set! (the 4 0 balloons pictured were purchased separately).

Overall, exactly as pictured. The top fluff balls made of tissue paper were extremely hard to get looking good, so we ended up just throwing those away.
