UPDATE UPDATE - Well they use it all the time... At speed! And have knocked it off the credenza twice. But I guess that will happen when it is on a polished surface and twenty pounds of cats come leaping down and tearing across as hey chase each other. I solved the problem by putting a small hook towards the back of the book case tying a tether to it and then tying it around the tube right below the high platform. Now they can bounce it to their hearts content and it won't fall off or tip over when they go tearing up and down it.UPDATE - Okay, we've had it for a week now. I am not sure why some people are saying it is too small. I have an eight and a twelve pound cat. The smaller one LOVES the tube and lounges in it all the time. The bigger one sits on top of the tube and they fight like crazy. The high support and the tube are close enough that the little cat can lay in the tube and still fight with the bigger cat when he is on the higher perch if he just leans down towards her. Lazy fighting is what cats do. Do thy love it as much as the big one in the living room? Perhaps not, but the both of them can often be found sleeping or lounging on it several times a day. I did tighten it after a few days as per the instruction and it certainly seems sturdy enough. Very pleased with it, great value for the money.I am using this on top a credenza as a step so our cats can get up and down from our 6' book shelf's without injuring them selves or tearing up the furniture trying to get a good grip. The big cat likes to lay on the circle and claw it from either side. The actual scratching post is tall enough for our smaller cat to really get a good stretch going. She hasn't clawed the back of my recliner since we got it. She like it much better than her other scratching toys.We have a 7' tall one out in the living room that is beige and just kind of blends in. This one is only available in power blue and my husband took one look at it and asked why I ordered such an ugly color. Any thing neutral or earth toned would have been a big improvement. The carpet is a bit thin, and as I said the power blue is a horrible color for our house. I would have given it a five if either of these things had been different.

For about two or three months after I bought this, my cat did not care for this cat tree. I led her into the tunnel with a treat to get her comfortable with it but she didn't go in on her own. it didn't seem big enough to be comfortable, and she is small (about 7 pounds). It seemed a little bit unstable too.It wasn't until I was getting ready to get rid of it that she decided she liked it! I pushed it up against the foot of the bed to stabilize it a little which might've done the trick. She now likes getting into the tunnel and scratching the post, and playing with the toy (still hasn't climbed up to the top). I still think if I moved it away from the bed she wouldn't use it since the tunnel wouldn't be supported by anything. I'm not sure if other cat trees are as wobbly as this but it'd be nice to have a heavier base and just sturdier construction. But at least it's getting some use now.While playing in it, my cat also took a bite at the carpeting in the tunnel and a chunk of the carpeting fluff came out in her mouth. Not sure how long the carpeting can stand up to a playful cat.

I got this toy looking for a sturdy scratching post to keep my kitten from scratching the furniture. I was also looking for something she would enjoy sitting on and playing with as she grew up. I especially wanted to do this without breaking the bank.For the most part, I got everything I wanted and more. My kitten loves it. She scratches on it, jumps off it and scoots through the tube. She loves to sit in the tube and jump out at the dog! The hanging fuzzy toy was an added bonus. She is not strong or destructive enough to destroy it like other reviewer's cats, so it's still going strong after several weeks, even though she plays with it many times a day.It's lightweight, easy to put together and easy to rearrange if she starts to get bored. My biggest issue with this product is that it's not extremely sturdy and I think I'm going to have to secure it to the wall at some point as she gets bigger. Also worth noting is that this is a toy for small cats and kittens. It works perfectly for my 5lb, 6 month old kitten and should serve her well even as an adult because she's very small - but it would NEVER have worked for our massive 19lb ragdoll.In general, a very nice product - especially for the price - but not one for big cats and not the most sturdy of cat toys.

happy to say I receive the product extremely fast. 2 to 3 business days. The product came in a box disassembled. very easy to assemble. Pretty much two bolts.my only concern is the smell. upon opening the box I noticed an odor resembling a dead rodent. I have had to wash the carpeting to get rid of the stench.. other than that my cat seems to love the tree.Sidenote: you may want to offer this product in different colors. I can't imagine too many people have this color carpeting in their home.

My little Lucy was bouncy around me just for the box alone. Then when I opened it up she was trying to grab and play with it before it was even put together! The dangling toy, as been marked for death, it shall not be long before its destruction. Its really nice they give you a spare. Easy to assemble, maybe even easier if your kitten is asleep during it. The size is great for 1 maybe 2 kittens tops. Otherwise it might dwarf the condo. Mine is only 12 weeks, if that helps put it into perceptive for anyone.

Cats love it, great price

If you have an adult cat, this is probably not for you. Easy to assemble, and my cats loves the fur balls that came with it.

My 10 pound kitten loved it as soon as it was out of the box and he left the couch alone for good!
