I am a server, who needs to light birthday and decorative candles outdoors on windy days. This torch lighter is perfect. My colleagues all borrowed mine until I decided that it would be the perfect Christmas gift for each of them.

I've ordered 3 cases and 4 or 5 or of every case don't work. Tried cleaning them and the never end up working.

These are similar to the ones you see in checkout lines. I use these for lighting fireworks, burning garbage, lighting cigars and starting campfires. Fantastic refillable lighters that work in the wind and burn stuff fast. The case of these will probably last forever. (***2 year edit*** Getting down to the last few torches left, still happy with these. You have to be careful not to overheat these if using for burning or heating things, the flame gets weak. I will be reordering this case of lighters!)

Not idiot proof, will start fires for all my burning needs. Several did kick back flame and try to flame up so be careful but I will order again. Great for burning.

Great deal for the money the first time. But second time around, some of the torches were only half full. And some were completely empty. If I'm only paying for the lighters themselves, then ship all of them empty so I can receive them at Amazon Hub lockers.
