I recently purchased a Tonton 8 channel 8 camera HD 1080p system.It arrived within 1 day and prior to making the decision to buy, Millie provide advice and guidance.The system is Wifi based and so it was operational straight out of the box within minutes. No wiring was needed (other than power).I wasn't able to place the NVR close to my internet router, so I instead used a powerline internet extender (see photo, approx £30) which allowed me to install the NVR just about anywhere in the house.(The NVR is the network video recorder which records all the video footage from the cameras)Once switched on, it did require some fiddling to get good signal strength to all cameras but I eventually acheived this. If you have cameras placed far away from the router, you can simply use the next nearest camera as a repeater. Honestly, its very very simple!You'll need to consider where you can route power from as each camera will need a power supply. To do this, in many cases I needed to extend the standard power line provided.The picture quality is good (see photos) and the camera units are of strong and sturdy build. This is no doubt a good value system.Please see the photo of the driveway. The white Toyota is approx 12 metres away from the camera. The number plate can easily be read. Not sure how clear this is in the posted photo, but it definitely can be read without a problem.I'm not suggesting this is the best system on market but it is good value and can definitely be installed as a DIY job.However, I've not yet mentioned the best part! Pre and post sale support is simply outstanding! Millie was on hand to answer all my questions. It was honestly like I was installing the system with a friend. Simply amazing!The main reason I purchased this system was because of the positive feedback in relation to Millie. And now I understand why so many people mention her by name.I will be posting a YouTube video on the installation process soon.

I bought this sytem in May 2020 and have been using with the four supplied cameras all the time since then to monitor wildlife in my garden. Image quality is good when displayed on my TV screen direct from the output on ther recording unit or on my Ipad using iSMkit app.Storage is good. I've still got recordings from last July on the system.Occasionally cameras lose connection but resetting is straightforward. The cameras supplied with the kit are already paired with the base unit so setup is almost plug and play.Motion detection will pick up small animals easily { see hedgehog in night image} so should also be good for people if you are using this as a security system. I haven't used them this way but I'm sure they would be fine. Menu system for setup is a bit clunky but works fine. Cameras can be set up to capture at certain times and for motion or alarm as required. WiFi range to cameras is about 30m line of sight but you can relay from one camera to another.I have waterproofed the power connection to the cameras with self amalgamating tape and have had no issues with water ingress.If using these for wildlife, close focus is about 2m but I have had some success at closer ranges by bluetacking a +1 close up lens on the front of the camera.Backup support from Milly at TonTon has been excellent. Helpful and quick response by email.I would certainly buy from them again.

The equipment seem well made and durable. The installation is easy once you can overcome the lack of some information in the guide. The product is how described and dose what they say it, draw back is the main leads are to short in most cases, and the angle you set the camera at is limited, if you are looking to get it at a full right angle. The cameras are a little larger than some but I feel this is a positive as they can be seen and act as a deterrent.

Got a 6 camera set up , only be able to get 3 working and not another has stopped so can only get and have 2 cameras workingI tired the help email service twice but zero response

Purchased after its good reveiws and it has not dissapointed.Unfortunately the mouse supplied did not work so i had to replace it, but the cameras and NVR are of a good quality.Initially had a wired Swann system which needed an IT degree to work it, replaced by Ring subscription cameras which didnt allow you to view anything other than detected movements.The wireless is brilliant, i was sceptical it would be any good but i have been more than impressed. I have one camera located outside of the garage which is at least 50ft away from the property and it worked straight out of the box, no boosters, no piggybacking etc just plug into mains and away you go.Very simple interface to use the cameras, and some good options on setting up the cams such as auto night vision with options to light up an area like a security light with detection of movement in specific areas you can define yourself. The cameras even have an alarm tone from the camera and the nvr itself if you wish, along with options on the app to talk through the cameras and tone an alarm yourself.Picture quality is fantastic, zoom function brilliant, no issues setting up, just plug and play straight out of the box and the app just works flawlessly.I have 4 cameras on constant record and 2 weeks in have only used 15% of the 1TB hard drive.Only small gripe i would say is dont be fooled by the app trying to get you to purcase cloud storage when you want to view anything.... You can ask it not to promp you again so its less annoying. You do not need cloud storage of course. Viewing direct from the NVR doesnt do this its just the app itself. Make sure you have allowed all permissions for the app if you want it to send you alerts to your phone.Absolute bargain!
