Great Quality and Perfect Fit for My 10-Year-Old!
We purchased the this for our 10-year-old, and it's been absolutely perfect. The padded seat is comfortable and supportive, and the height adjustment makes it easy to get just the right fit as they grow. It feels sturdy and well-balanced, which is great for a younger drummer still getting the hang of things. One of the best surprises was the bonus pair of drum sticks included — such a thoughtful addition that made the set feel even more complete. Our child was able to start practicing right away, and they’ve been thrilled with the whole setup. This is a great quality stool at a very reasonable price, and I would definitely recommend it for any beginner or young drummer!

Review update: Great customer service, great chair (Broken out of the box.)
The media could not be loaded. Donner reached out to me about my experience and immediately offered to send a new throne. It got to me quickly and at no extra cost to me. The new throne was not broken like the previous one and was assembled quickly and easily. Donner allowed me to keep the old throne, so I'll try to make an effort to fix it, but there's no need really. The customer service is fantastic, responed quickly and rectified all problems I had. I recommended this company for the customer service alone. Now onto the the quality of the throne. There were some pictures floating around of what looks like rust on the inside of the rods, and it's true. Both of mine had that, but really doubt it's an issue. The swivel of the throne could use some oil for lubrication. As it stands the swivel is a bit stiff. Bottom line though this is a great chair. It's comfortable for its purpose, though I'll be using it all over my house.I absolutely recommend this as a cheaper alternative to more expensive thrones. If you're a beginner don't waste your money on the more expensive stuff, this will more than serve you enough.Old review:Really wanted to use this chair, but the screw hole was broken, so that when you try to unscrew it the screw would just turn without actually coming unscrewed in the hole. Very disappointing.

It's "good"
After receiving this and putting it together, I noticed they changed the design a little bit for the better. Some reviews mentioned the mounting plate that screws to the seat was plastic. Mine is now metal. For the height adjustment, you now insert two bolts through the post instead of one and tighten easier to grip knobs instead of a small wingnut. Also, I noticed a few reviews had pictures with rusty stems. They must have made improvements because mine was brightly polished chrome and was wrapped in two layers of bubble wrap with not a hint of rust. Now, that being said...It's a budget-friendly, entry-level throne. I purchased this for my 8 year old, 70 lb beginner drummer. I find it odd that people have pictures with $1000+ drum kits but decide to buy a budget throne. He's an entry-level drummer, so I bought an entry-level throne. If he was a hard-core, seasoned drummer I'd have purchased something more appropriate for his skill level and investment into drumming. If he sticks with it and this falls apart, I'll upgrade it.I'm 6'-1", 200 lbs and tried it after putting it together. It seemed solid and didn't wobble but I won't be the one pounding on drums for 3 hours. I sat on it at a higher height, then lowered it to my son's height. Using basic logic, I definitely would not suggest this seat for a "larger" adult and would not suggest this seat for a serious drummer performing gigs or long sessions. Like with most things, buy a product to fit your use-case. Just as you don't buy a Fisher-Price hammer to build houses with, you shouldn't buy an entry-level, light-weight seat if you're 250 lbs or a professional musician. That being said, I see this as a good "first throne" for younger kids and even teens. For its price-point, it's comfortable "enough" and sturdy "enough".NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. I try to write helpful, unbiased and insightful reviews because I also read reviews prior to making my own buying decisions. I notice many reviews lack helpful information, are not well written or give poor reviews based on not reading directions, failing to read the product details prior to purchasing or someone's inexperience or lack of skill. Writing valuable reviews helps pay it forward.

Donner's drum throne: useful, affordable, and compact
Donner has created an affordable, multi-purpose seat for drummers and instrumentalists alike. For the price, this drum throne is a great addition to your drum arsenal. It can alternatively be used as an extra seat for your band-mates.You can secure the height at four different positions using a wing nut and bolt. The throne height varies from 19 inches at its lowest position to 23 inches at its highest. I prefer thrones with a lever to adjust the height, but Donner’s method works as long as you keep track of the pieces. The seat is sturdy and doesn’t leave impressions in the faux leather cushion even after sitting for several hours of practice. The assembly of the stool is quick and only requires a screwdriver. Taking apart the product is as simple as putting it together; the end result is a relatively compact stool that’s great for traveling. Overall, I’m pleased with this product.Pros:- Sturdy legs and cushion- Compact, easy to travel with- Affordable price point- Bonus set of sticksCons:- Only 4 height positions

Donner/Tama/DW/PorkPie/RocnSoc: This throne earns it place !
I’ve owned each of the thrones above. The weight of my new Donner’s base/stand is solid & fortified, the leather/pleather chair & back support upholstered w care and quality feels comfy, the pneumatic cylinder operates and looks like it’ll last forever. Entie chair took 5 minutes and a rather easy assembly, operations is simple and smooth. What floors me is the Donner sells at a fraction of the cost (to the name brands) AND in my humble opinion is BETTER than the competition. Just sayin - you won’t go wrong w the purchase.I’ll be buying another (i have 2 drumsets) and will be recommending the unit and brand to my bandmates.
