The bulb was as described, it plugged in without any problem and shines brightly at my front door. Looks like good quality. Will have to stand the test of time, as to how long it lasts, we must wait.

Best bought at a brick and mortar store.
There are so many variants of this lamp, in so many sizes, that you should probabky buy it at a local lighting store. The lamp that I thought that I was buying wasn't the one that arrived in the mail. Furthermore, even if it had been, it would have been the wrong one; the previous landlords had filed the bulb base down and placed the wrong bulb in its stead. We didnt buy the correct bulb until we had an electrician look at the ballast. The correct bulb was special order from a bulb specialist. There is a dizzying array of wattages and associated ballasts and it is easy to get it wrong. We did twice. The unpredictable nature of the Amazon Marketplace vendors adds too much randomness for this kind of item.

Very disappointed, but could not find the original style bulb
This bulb fits my Panasonic exhaust/lite, but does not have the fast on feature the original bulb had. It flickers for 3-4 seconds before the lite comes on. Very disappointed, but could not find the original style bulb.

835 was a big improvement...
I replaced 2 (827's) in my bathroom exhaust fan light with 2 (835's). Now I have a much brighter and clearer light. When researching these I thought the light might be a bit too "blue", but it is not. These are just perfect. This was not Prime and it took about 7 days days. I was in no hurry so I was fine with that.
