Started using this in my deep fryer and it was the best thing I ever did it fits great it distributes the heat evenly and quicker cooking time

I have a cheap Char broil H2O smoker. The heating element went out so I bought this to replace it. It wasn't a perfect fit but close enough. It regulates the temperature perfectly.

I needed a little fab work on a smoke hollow smoker, but it works great. My old element burnt out and this one did the trick. I am not sure about the temp control, however, since I added a remote temp control switch in the upper chamber for better temp control where the meat is. I just leave the temp control on high and let my remote switch turn it on and off.

Gets super hot really quick and holds the temperature steady. Little bigger than the original but with a little patience it's awesome. I didn’t want to buy a new smoker over this.

Did not fit my BBQ and I missed the return date. Now I am stuck with a product I can’t use. :(

Char broil like so many manufacturers change parts in their products willy hilly every few years. Therefore they no longer sold this part despite selling a near indentical smoker. Not to be cynical, but it appears to be forced obsolescence. I bought this generic one in my 5 year old smoker and it works lije a champ. Half the price of the official one at that.

Do not buy this. This product never gets hot enough to cause wood to smoke. The highest temperature I have measured in my smoker is 208. After 2 hours of not getting any smoke, I even tried putting a small piece of wood directly on the element. It did not smoke or burn. Absolute garbage, like almost everything Amazon sells now. I’m not sure at what point Amazon stopped selling anything of value and went to exclusively carrying products that don’t work, but nothing I buy on Amazon works.
