Works great, good picture and the LEDs are very bright as well
Pretty good camera! I installed it myself on my 98' Toyota Camry. The photos you see there are me tube shrink soldering the reverse trigger wire from the Video Wire to the Reverse Input wire (purple on my radio's harness). I mounted it above the car's emblems. I sealed the camera cable with some Black RTV silicone adhesive. The instructions are NOT great for installation. Also, a TIP is if you want to trigger the camera when put the car in reverse you got to make of course make the same connection as I did in my photos. But, also with the power wire it the camera system brings you have to take the black and ground it to the harnesses ground wire (mine was white with a black line) and then take the red wire from the power wire and along with the Video Wire's red wire mate them TOGETHER to the reverse power wire (which is also red) on the car's reverse harness connector. This part was confusing for me because the power wire this system brings also comes with its own shorter thinner red wire and I didn't know where it went. But it's NOT needed for the installation. So, instead you just tape it away and proceed with the Video Wire's red thinner wire instead.

Good
I just installed this but it’s a good unit out of the box. I needed the cable it came with and was happy it was longer than I anticipated, I have a long truck (extended cab long bed) and this reached the back with some to spare. Good view angle, good clarity, good value. Not sure how waterproof it is but it will be exposed to water every time it rains, so I will update if it fails

Good picture for the price
Works great. I'm using this one for hitching up the goose neck trailer. Between the crew cab and the in bed tool box I can't see the goose neck ball from the drivers seat. I can get close backing up blind but usually end up getting in and out of the truck multiple times before I get it right. My rear view mirror has two video inputs. I have the bumper mounted camera connected to the main input and the goose neck camera connected to a switch in the overhead console and the secondary video input. My only complaint with these types of cameras are the molded on plugs. I had to drill 1/2" holes to feed the molded plugs through the toolbox and the pickup bed. The I'm left with a tiny wire in a giant hole.As visible from the side view shot the camera does stick out past the edge of the toolbox. I'm guessing the next time I get hay I'll forget the camera is there and smash it with a 105lb bale. If that happens I'll replace it with a tailgate camera that recesses in better. After all, I already have a 1/2" hole drilled.

Lights stay on all the time when powered by your header unit
[UPDATED REVIEW 3/23/2020] I am changing my rating for this camera to 5 stars because it clearly does need the lights that I said I drilled out in my earlier review. I don't know how they've done it, but this camera does an excellent job gathering ambient light to show your surroundings while backing up. It is far superior to the 8 year old camera that I had to replace. Furthermore, the vendor "cold" contacted me to let me know that they have seen the reviews from those of us who are disappointed over the inability to turn the lights off. And they stated that a new version of the camera will be coming out soon with a brown wire that can be cut to disable the lights. I am leaving my original review below just so folks who are interested can read how disable the lights with a drill. Again though, I now believe this to be a superior camera, and I am looking forward to seeing the new one with brown wire for disabling the lights. Excellent customer service as well![Original review]As several others have noted, when you power this camera by wiring it directly to your header unit, the LED lights will turn on (and stay on) when the car is running. Apparently, it is an all or nothing deal. When the camera has power, the lights also have power. This is less then ideal for those of us who want to access the camera while driving. For example, I like to turn on the camera when I am towing my trailer to make sure everything is okay and nothing is flapping around or loose. The only way to not have the lights on all the time seems to be by "piggy-backing" the power from the back up lights. But then this would mean that I would also not be able to view the camera except for when I am backing the car up.I'm guessing what I really need is a product that uses separate power sources for both the LED lights and the camera. Maybe the LED lights could separately be wired to the backup lights while the camera gets its power from the header unit? I'm not sure if anyone actually makes a camera with lights that are powered by a separate source, but it seems there might be a market for that based on some of the other reviews I have read here.Anyway, I just followed the advice of another reviewer and I drilled out the 4 corner LEDs and sealed them shut with water proof Gorilla glue. Other then that, the picture from this camera is pretty good. I just wish I could have had the backup lights while only backing up.
