Chickens love it! It is shipped quickly and comes in paper packaging. 👍🏼

I soak these in water before i feed to the Girls...they like them. there is a dusty part of the product that they don't seem to eat and doesn't soak well....beaks and dust don't seem compatible. Still I'm glad that this is the best grain I can feed my Girls next to totally free ranging them. I also feed BSF larvae and greens.

Organic non GMO for the backyard pasture raised hens who provide us with really great eggs.

They peck through this looking for each piece of different grain.

I purchased this 18% feed for my small group of hens... thinking it would be good feed during this years, fall molting season. Sadly they are, "beaking" through the feed, which is 75-80% powder. They peck out only the bits and pieces of whole grain, scattering the leftover powder. The company encourages its buyers to ferment their product. I've tried fermenting, and it's a muddy sloppy mess, the chickens look at it, peck it, and walk away. Sad to give Scratch n Peck this review, their product, only 3-4 yrs ago was much higher quality, than presently.

I use this as a supplement to the Layena my hens get. I have a feeder that holds 15lbs of Layena and I put this whole grain feed in a small trough feeder which almost acts as a treat. Yeah they make a mess picking through it for their favorite grains, and yes there’s a LOT of powdery waste.Somebody mentioned they add water to this and I kinda like that idea, might try that soon.It’s available locally for over $20/bag less but even at that price I’d go broke using it as primary feed.
