Had to get someone to install base as I can’t get down on my knees

I've been looking for organizers for an old colonial style hutch my father built in the '70's. It has stable shelves (cannot be moved or adjusted) and I wanted to approximate drawers inside for easier storage. However, since the interior is only 16" deep it won't accommodate most kitchen cabinet organizers. I had hopes for these and in fact was able to use one. (Only one because I then also learned the braces on the door get in the way. :-} ) The smaller one just fits and it would be perfect (i.e. five stars) except that the screws that hold the organizer down are at the back of the frame, on the back legs. They were impossible to get to in order to use them - believe me, I tried! - and I ended up rigging up a fastener with an old piece from a shelving organizer that I could mount on the little bar at the back and attach with screws to the back wall of the hutch. Maybe the company should supply such a piece as an option . . .Instead of returning the larger one (I ordered both sizes) I managed to use it in my bathroom cabinet upstairs but again, had to rig up something: the cabinet has a frame, the bottom/floor of the cabinet sits lower than the door opening, but I did what I did before for my sliding trash can: I screwed down two strips of wood, 1 x 2's I think, front to back so that the whole piece was mounted high enough for the drawer of the organizer to clear the frame and slide open. Since I has more room to work I was able to screw down the frame of the organizer using the back legs but it was still a pain to get back way there.The drawers themselves are sturdy and attractive and I hope they continue to function for a long time.

I purchased this for under the sink storage. I also purchased a large drawer to put this piece on from the same manufacturer. It arrived in an undamaged box. The materials are of average quality & I don't think would last long under heavy use, but since this is to contain the clutter under the sink & will be opened occasionally, I did not send it back. The storage was good based upon its dimensions. Make sure you lay out the measurements and then subtract 3/4" on the sides for the frame. Upon assembly I noticed one of the screw down plates was missing. It wasn't in the box, and the weld was still there so it must have broken off before packaging. The other one was firmly attached. I screwed the one plate down to the lower drawer unit & it was satisfactory unless you planned to move it or use it regularly. I might purchase this again for under the sink use as the price wasn't outrageous, but to use regularly, you might want to search elsewhere.

After measuring my under sink cabinet area, I looked at multiple solutions to maximize space. I landed on these drawers based on the size, price, and level of complexity to install. Win, win, win. All the way around.

Because of my spinal issues I need to keep things easier to reach and not have to get up into the cupboards very often to get my canned goods or other packaged goods down. This has really helped and also keeps my countertop clutter free.I like the fact that the base of it sits up just a bit so that when you pull the organizer out, it doesn't catch on anything below or slide across whatever you set it on. I like to have a nice bit of liner below it just to help keep things tidy in the case of spices, etc, potentially getting down the cracks. I bought two of the medium sized ones and have them sitting side by side by the stove in a particularly large open counter space that would not serve me very well because it is so wide and goes back so far to the wall that I would normally not even put anything there because of the difficulty in reaching because of my spinal issues. But these organizers really have helped so much. These organizers extend out so long that I don't have to worry as all I need to do is pull on the top and slide it out like a drawer. I've been able to put everything from my dishsoap bottle to small packaged goods, canned goods, and seasonings & packets in them, along with my vitamins and other supplements. These were a very good purchase for me.
