Even thought I haven't installed and used it yet, I know it will do what I need it for. It's a worker.

Worked perfectly. Used as a replacement to the manual lift on a pop up camper

First I had to buy a mounting plate specific to the Prairie 360. The fairlead hole spacing is 4 1/4" and the bracket for the 360 is 4 7/8", so I had to purchase a fairlead that would fit as drilling the original fairlead would put the holes outside the bracket. Same comments on the wiring. Will have to modify it to make it work well. Leads to winch are too short because the albatross control needs to be stored somewhere.

I'm using this winch as a hoist to lift up my bike frame while I restore it it's been great ! Probably mounted to my John Deere Gator after I'm done.

I bought two garden tractors at an estate sale. Both weighed close to 750lbs each. They were stored in a barn on the other side of a very wet field which meant I had a month to get my trailer ready.Lots of winches. Didn’t want to spend big bucks. This unit was inexpensive and the reviews were decent. The box was factory sealed and the winch had not been used in any way.Assembly was easy although I will replace the zinc hardware with better quality. I then mounted the winch on a piece of 2x10.Charged up my boat battery, connected the leads and just like that I had a functioning winch on my trailer!We backed the trailer up to the barn and pulled those tractors up the ramp EASILY!!!! Pro Tip: wear a heavy leather glove to move the cable back and forth across the roller as you are winching, to make sure it spools flat and doesn’t just pile up on one side.Overall I’m very pleased with value and cost of this unit.

#1 complaint I'm seeing about this is the remote cords are too short. Yes. Yes they are. But they're not unusable and honestly... I just bought some wire and extended them. I'd sooner that than have longer cords and a higher price.Beyond that it works fine. Easy to mount for anyone with basic skills. You may need to get some u-bolts or similar to fit your situation.What does 2,000 lb capacity mean? Would it actually dead-lift a ton? No clue. It pulled an 850-lb motorcycle with sticky brakes up a fairly steep ramp on its first outing.
