CATS: I bought this to TRAVEL with kittens out of state, it did not spill at all during the trip. Works great for home KENNELING (kittens or after surgeries) too. Sometimes the area gets wet because they step in it while playing, but they don’t tip it.DOGS: We also use it for regular dog guests that we pet sit or are just visiting. It only releases enough for them to drink. One of our dogs is BEARDED and he doesn’t get so wet while drinking, which is such a relief! I have not had any dogs try tip it yet.USE: Easy to open, fill, and close. I bought another type of spill-proof bowl before, and though it was truly spill-proof, it was sooo hard to open and one dog chewed it up. No one seems to be interested in chewing on this so far.CLEANING: Easy. I can reach the entire inside with a scouring pad, except for the handle where I use a brush.BE AWARE: It’s is not spill proof. If tipped toward the opening, all of the water will spill out, which I did right away, picking it up some weird way while cleaning the floor... sigh... but you can easily pick this upright without spilling.OVERALL: I LOVE IT and am grateful to have it in my pet supplies! Every pet owner should have one. It’s incredibly handy for a multitude of situations, even for emergency or bug-out use. It holds enough to drink, and not too much gets wasted when it gets dirty.I personally only use this as needed, as my cats have a fountain and stainless bowls throughout the house, if I had a dog this would definitely be their regular water bowl. It’s a significantly better than an open bowl with reducing/eliminating water on the floor.

How did i not know about this sooner?!?! We take our dog camping. A camper trailer is a smaller confined space already, add kids and a dog and thats the last place i want to worry about someone knocking over the dog's water bowl. This thing is AMAZING, it does not spill at all, the water dispenses via displacement as it is drank, we can have it outside and fill it with ice and water and it stays cold for him for hours. It fits in the canoe, the floor of the truck, perfect for the backyard when he wants to be outside for a while. If you go ANYWHERE even a day trip with your dog, this is a must-have. Highly highly recommended. *if you find yours leaking, unscrew and rescrew the lid. It has to be perfectly alligned for the o-ring thread to do its job right. Sometimes it takes me 3 attempts to get it on there level but its only because it is a wide mouth opening for the dog to drink out of. its still perfect! I have got to say almost every time I use this (every day since I travel with my dog) that I think to myself, "This is one of the best things I ever bought on Amazon." No kidding. I would give this 10 stars if I could. My dog, who is in training to be a service dog, goes with me everywhere. This is so much better than those stupid bottle in a bowl things. This portable waterboy is freaking fantastic. All I have to do is plop it down and the water goes to the bottom of the blue saucer and my dog laps it up. It can store a great deal of water. I keep it standing up in the back of my car on the floor against the seat, full of about a half gallon of water. Just make sure you have the lid on tightly.I really don't know what to say. Like I said, my dog goes with me EVERYWHERE. I use this in my car, while sightseeing, at friend's houses, at training, etc. (Now the stupid cat is drinking out of it though at home - I think because it does not get his whiskers wet).It is so easy to carry by the handle, works really well, holds quite a bit of water, and is so easy to transport. All I do is throw it on the ground and voila - instant water for my dog. You have no idea how easy this is. It really is one of the most useful items I have bought on this site and I feel like I buy stuff by the crate load. If you take your dog anywhere with you at all: the park, out camping, etc., this is really great.

I searched hi and low for a good 'travel water bowl' - and there really aren't a lot of options. When on longer road trips, pulling over every 30 minutes to offer water to my pup, in a collapsible bowl (that he often pawed, or if I left with him, laid on) was tedious and most bowls slosh/turn over or get assimilated into the bedding. This one seemed a bit different.pros:It is near impossible to be flipped in a vehicleDue to its bowl depth, the bit of drooling regular bowls allow, aren't such an issueeasy to transport (I take it to the dog park all the time and become a second watering hole)easy to clean.. mostly (I toss some rice in it with soapy water after a particularly muddy time at the dog park to get a bit of interior scrubbing going)pup can't 'dig' in the water bowl as it's simply too small/deepCons: I do wish the whole thing were a bit thicker - as it needs to be pretty full to have more than 1/4" of water in the bowl. If you fill often, that issue is alleviated though.The only thing I'd like is an add on 'wedge' for car seats to level it - if it is full, it's not an issue, if it is not - I have to turn it so that gravity assists and sometimes there is a bit of slosh.Would recommend, and I consider it a staple for my dog (Golden Retriever - still a pup but more than 2/3 his final size now). Have recommended to others, who now have their own and also love them.

Holds plenty of water and now that I'm done with the car trip, I'm using it at home. I may order another one for home use. Not sure why so expensive but the design is good. Guess that's what you are paying for. Easy to clean.

Great dog waterer. I took my German Shepherd on a 3 hour drive. I put this in the back of my SUV with a dog bed and this waterer. It was great, and it didn't spill. He used it in the motel too! Very happy.

Great carrier for taking away overnight or on long journeys for our dog. No spills anymore. Highly recommend

Bought one years ago when we were heading out for a year long RV trip. It worked great didn't spill when we were travelling and it was also great when we were stationary in the RV because of the small space, it can be easy to accidentally kick the dog bowl which would then make a big mess. The flat shape of this waterer makes the base very solid and does not tip or spill.Love it so much bought a new one for our main house.

Our dog goes everywhere with us in the SUV, this water dish is perfect for holding lots of water, and no spills!!!
