Very thin!!
These are super thin.Definitely think of them for landscaping or holding down something light weight rather than camping. Look at the picture attached. These a 4 different tent pegs I own and the Alazco one is the one all the way on the right. The longest of the 4 in the picture. You can totally see and feel the difference. I need a lot of tent pegs right now because the kids are always losing them, so I'm glad I bought them for the price, but they wont last long. Just be aware of what you are getting.

Good price for a good product.
You probably thought you'd be reading a review about how well the tent pegs held the tent during gale force winds. We had a different reason to buy them.We needed something to hold down the goat wire we laid under the hardware cloth fence in the chicken coop to keep predators from digging under the coop. After several unsuccessful attempts at a variety of materials in our sandy soil, we had a few old steel tent pegs that seemed to do the job perfectly. I needed more pegs so I checked Amazon. I looked at several kinds of pegs and decided the 20 pack of the steel tent pegs would be the best buy for the money and the way we were going to use them. Now I no longer trip over the goat wire because it's held securely down on the ground. The chickens and Guineas are happier because they can run along the perimeter of the fence and not get their feet tangled up in the goat wire.ETA 10/18/14 I lowered the rating one star. We had a bad storm come through here and one of the stakes came up. I used my foot, instead of a hammer, to push it back down into the sand and it bent. I would not have had the problem had I used the hammer to put it back into the ground; however, it is not out of line to use your foot to press a stake back into the ground. Don't get me wrong, the stakes are still doing what I need them to do. I was surprised it bent.

Great for inflatable yard decorations!
These steel tent pegs are the best I have found for my particular projects. We use them to stake our tent, to anchor our holiday inflatables and as hold downs for a backyard canopy. They do not hold the tent as firmly and securely as the ABS plastic stakes, but they outperform other types of metal anchors. For the yard inflatables and canopy they are perfect. In spite of some heavy winds, the canopy has not come loose and the inflatables have held firm. The inflatable yard decorations are usually a problem with any light weight, shorter length stakes. They pull out of the ground fairly easily. These pegs are longer, heavier gauge, and have a wide mouth on the hook to better hold onto grommets.Definitely a 5 star product

Junk! Run far away from these!
I was so disappointed in these. I bought these for making a dining fly with a tarp for camping. Of the twenty stakes in the pack, all but six bent. I used a rubber mallet for hammering these, and I'm no muscle man, either. You should see these chicken arms of mine! Still, the stakes bent, and in some cases, curled under my "brute" force. I wasn't forcing these into rocks, brick, cement, etc. Just normal ground. I wouldn't recommend anyone use these for tents, as they are just too malleable.

Bent on first use
The ground was so soft at our campsite that I was able to push the stakes into the ground with my hand, yet a stake still bent. These are very flimsy stakes. Also, the ends aren't pointed at all. I can't see these being able to penetrate hard ground.

These are the worst tent stakes I've ever owned
These are the worst tent stakes I've ever owned. They are EXTREMELY flimsy and won't go into soft ground without bending. I used a soft rubber mallet and after one smooth, straight blow, the tops would bend and prevent any further ground penetration. The design and shape of these are ill-thought out. They are light (which is great for hiking and primitive camping--less weight to pack), but they will not do the job they were intended to do. DO NOT buy these, even for the softest ground...you will be left with a messy, unsafe staking job and they will be useless once pulled from the ground.

Great stake for the money, not super sturdy though
I bought these stakes to stake down the bottom of a wire fence to keep a dog from squeezing under. I bought about 180 of them and they are a great stake when you need bulk like that. For the most part they were great, but when the ground got tough they failed. I bent quite a few trying to hammer them into the ground. I live in Arizona where the ground can be very tough, so that should be mentioned as well, but it was frustrating for sure.

As you hit, it bends.
Soft steel and poor design. Hitting point is not in straight line of the stake. So if you use on hard ground, it bend very easily. Better to avoid.
