Looks good but the buttons are very small
The buttons are VERY small, and the mix of thermostat and manual fan control is confusing. Also, it can be installed either with batteries, OR 24V - but not both. With batteries it can be taken out of the socket and used as a remote - very nice touch ! It looks nice, but somewhat clumsy to use due to very small (and unmarked) buttons

It works well and having it set at a temperature ...
It works well and having it set at a temperature was a big improvement than having just an on/off feature on the fireplace....I wish it did more with the flame brightness/adjustment, the remote only changes flame on and flame off.I have a different DIMPLEX unit in another room and that remote has adjustements for everything...I did not realize that was only on that model.

Reasonably happy with the purchase.
Much better than the original module. This actually comes with module that gets installed inside the fireplace. (although it is not pictured)display is little small for my eye.
