Good, reliable strap locks.
Really just needed the strap locks to use with a used telecaster electric guitar I recently bought. Have used these types of strap locks for years on my other electric guitars. This set works just fine and was exactly what I was looking for. Recommended.

The best strap locks for your Rickenbacker Bass or Guitar
I had bought another set of strap locks that was supposed to be universal, and would likely have worked well had the posts on my Rickenbacker 4003 been larger at the top. Unfortunately they are skinny with very little lip, and I did feel confident about stability, and the posts "floated" in the locks too much. As I looked on-line for other products, I noticed in the photos that the Fender locks and posts looked like they would work better. To my great satisfaction, the fender posts and the Rick posts are exactly the same width and shape- so I did not even have to change the posts out! The locks work beautifully, and are rock solid stable- no "float" whatsoever. Best of all- the Fender Locks were ONE THIRD the price of the other leading brand. The look also is really cool, and I will be buying them for my other gear as well. Great job Fender!

Easy to install, convenient.
Love em. Having them on all my guitars makes it easy to switch between axes with the same strap. They're easy to install and worth the price.

They seem solid enough
Especially for the price. The screws were a little narrower than the stockers on my epiphone but using the time honored woodworkers fix, I jammed half a toothpick into each hole to shim things up and the smaller screws grabbed and threaded in just fine. Took all of 10 minutes to install. Edit: I was pleasantly surprised to discover, when installing the 2nd set on my Squier Telecaster that the factory studs on the guitar didn't need replaced. Check before you remove them, if they're cylindrical, they'll work with the strap locks if they're cone shaped they wont.

Good product, but use Thread-Locker prior to installation
I am a professional guitarist, and have been gigging for 35 years. I started out with Schaller strap locks on my main gigging guitars, but as my guitar collection grew, I ended up with some ProLine and eventually some Fender Strap Locks. Most recently, I had one of knobs (that you pull to release these locks from the guitar) pop off for no apparent reason. I had not banged it on anything and was shocked when it came off for seemingly no reason. I figured it was a defective unit and ordered another. Ten months later, the same thing happened to the replacement set.In removing the strap lock from the guitar (with tools), I noticed that the knob had NOT broken off, as I had originally thought. Rather, it simply became unscrewed from the spring loaded plunger bolt. I reassembled it, this time with Loctite (thread-locker). I also unscrewed the other lock knob and did the same. I don't think I will encounter that problem ever again.I will continue to use these strap locks, and when I put a new set on a new guitar, I'll remove the knobs and reinstall them with Loctite prior to installing them on my guitar/strap. Problem solved. These types of strap locks will eventually wear out (metal on metal), but it takes years of heavy use to do that, and for $10 a set, I'm quite satisfied with them. Oh, and I also tighten them onto the strap with hand tools because if you try to tighten them by hand, without tools, they won't stay put.
