I was in so much pain, but using the little file on the edges of my nail relieved the pressure.

My work uniform requires black socks. Sometimes the fuzz from the sock gets underneath my toenails. This lift instrument allows you to get underneath the toenail without puncturing your toe. Also, much less expensive than going to a podiatrist.

I use it and really like it. Only in past year have had terrible trouble with both big toe nails. With a thin metal file and some thin emory boards and this tool, I've had some relief in those tough and awkward to reach spots. I'm a bit overweight and having to pull my foot up over my knee and bend to see and use this and the files properly does hurt my knees, but gets the job done. I may order an extra pair to keep near the toilet since that's a pretty good height for me using it when feet are dry. My knees probably hurt after my usual soak, because holding it up to scrub bottoms, trim all nails and cuticles is a long time. But a quick file under those big toes at the toilet is short and not nearly as hard on my knees.

Anyone who has dealt with the specific pain caused by an ingrown toenail can relate! I’ve dealt with them since I was a teenager, and at one point had to have one surgically removed.I’ve been determined now to have to do that again! The last time I was experiencing problems with one, I found this advertised on Amazon and figured what the heck, I’ll give it a try.I was pleasantly surprised to find that the one tool with a little flat part on it slides under the toenail very easily, when other products would not. It allowed me to lift the nail up away from the nail bed, which provided immediate relief (and some gross bleeding, but hey, it fixed the problem)! Once the nail was pulled out just that one time, it apparently was good enough to get it to a stage where it could grow back out naturally, without any more pain.

Works well to get to an ingrown toe nail. Easy to use and good grip on it.

Did not receive what was advertised. Received two of the same item.
