Had to get bigger cat flap as my cat has grown to be a massive giant 😅 and got stuck in my normal size cat flap 🤣 this one is big and he can get through with ease lol. As long as he don't get any bigger this will last me a long time.Easy to install.Looks great.Oh and did I mention my cat loves this one 🤣🤣

Installing very easy. The magnet quite strong and my 2 year old Maine Coone to lazy to push but after propping open with a stick and letting get used to going through and smells from outside etc I lowered it each time so eventually he used his head or paw to open. Cracked it. It’s generally strong. Various settings. I have put tape to keep it set to open and close as his belly sometimes locked him in or out. Buy with confidence. Just inform post person it’s not a letterbox.

Have found it difficult to find a basic black cat flap to go with our black door so delighted to find one at this good price. We bought the medium which is fine for our normal size cat but a bit tight for our large British Shorthair so he waits for the door to be opened. One thing worth mentioning is that we had to build wood around the cat flap as way too deep for the depth of our door, which to be fair has inner panels which are thinner than the outer doorframe so probably fine for the average door. Either way it works so for the price can’t really complain.

I don't understand the amount of positive reviews this item has. I've just received it and am debating whether to put a big hole in my front door that will be relying on this thing not breaking within a few weeks .. the lock mechanism is very flimsy and weak. The plastic door could easily be pushed on the reverse side to whichever in-out 'lock' you're using. I'll update this review if I install it, and if it lasts!

The switches that allow the pet in and out are cheap plastic and do not do the job properly. I had to remove one to get it to work

I originally put a Petsafe cat flap which had a strong magnet and good seals round the sides of the flap. However, it was not quite big enough for my large cat to get through easily. So I bought this bigger cat flap. It was straightforward to fit but it has gaps down the sides of the cat flap so it is very draughty. It is windy where I live and the magnet on the door was not strong enough to keep the flap shut. I had to lock the flap to stop it blowing inwards. Unfortunately, my cat went out of the flap during the night but because I had locked it was unable to get back in. I let a very wet, bedraggled cat in who is now unlikely to use the cat flap again. I am going to see if I can find a Petsafe cat flap that will fit the bigger hole I now have in my door. At this rate I will have to buy a new door. If you live in a windy location do not buy this cat flap.
