Q: I have looked at way too many rooftop bags looking for waterproof. is this bag waterproof or isn't it? and if not, can anyone recommend a bag that is.

I purchased this bag earlier this year. I think it is wonderful and waterproof. We went to Chicago and it had been raining on our way home. Our contents stayed dry. I was able to get it back in the bag. I now keep it in the truck.

Q: Does anyone know the internal dimensions? I need to carry a wooden toddler bed that is 52" in length.

The bottom is 48" x40" wide by a!most 6" should fit if you put something under it.

Q: It will fit a 2009 Nissan Versa?

It has enough straps with it so you can adjust it how you need it.

Q: Do you have to have racks? If so, is there a comparable item to be strapped to/inside car.

The design is to secure to an existing rack for greater stability. However, the straps provided allow others without a rack to go inside the car and utilise the doors as security measure instead of a rack. I also seen this during my travels. I don't suggest it, but it's a poor-man's measure when one don't have an existing rack. A warning thought, the cargo back will slide side-to-side based on the weight and air friction (the shape formed from how you pack your cargo bag). I saw a bag slanted 45 to 75 degrees sideway on top of a non-rack roof at high speed.
