As this was the first ever travel pillow that I had ever bought I wasn't really sure what to expect and can't compare it to other travel pillows in the market. I used this on a 5 hour late night plane trip to Vegas and it did help me to be more comfortable while sleeping versus my head rolling all over the place. However, I thought it would be more comfortable than what it was. I found it to be stiff and not as soft and "foamy" as I had originally thought it would be when I ordered it. I found myself trying to stretch it out by bending it and stretching out the neck opening just so it would be more comfortable around my neck. It also felt more like wearing a neck brace than a pillow. I felt like my neck was stiffly propped up and I could barely move my head from side to side because the sides of the pillow were higher than I would think was normal for a travel pillow. I would have liked something that was more of a natural moldable pillow foam and more of a natural shape than this was. Needless to say, I didn't use this around my neck on the flight back but instead used it propped against the plane window to rest my head against and that was more comfortable but obviously not what it was made for.

Background: I bought this pillow because I have cervical radiculopathy. I had a fall several months ago. It has been hard to figure out whether ongoing pain came from my shoulder or my neck. As I exercised and stretched, most things got better but I still have pain on one side of my neck which occasionally runs down my arm. As my pain is worse upon awakening, I decided to try my airplane pillow to hopefully keep me sleeping on my back. I was impressed with the improvement I got from just that pillow and went on Amazon to find something more substantial.Life's Simple Solutions: After reviewing every neck pillow on Amazon, I selected this one. I love memory foam and was attracted to the cooling pad. I also liked the removable cover. I was delighted to find this pillow gave my neck firm, snug support so that it is not moving around in my sleep. It also comes up slightly in the back to support my head. With it I barely need a regular pillow. I stay in one position. It even works lying on my side. I sleep more soundly. AND, I WAKE UP WITH A LOT LESS PAIN.

Travel Pillow Luxurious Premium Memory Foam...I ordered this pillow last week. I try to use when I watch movie or when I work in my office before we will travel for a long trip(for 25-30hrs.) I like a cool gel feeling around my neck. I like the shape of the pillow not too lose around my neck because I am petite person.I ordered for my husband one similar like this one but much softer, chipper then the one I had. But when I try it on me a little too long 1" longer then the one I had.Couple things I don't like: It a little too firm and a little too hight for me (4.5") this pillow make from memory foam I hope it will be soft when I try for another weeks...!

I used this on two 5hr flights in the middle seat. I had the most uncomfortable cheapest seat I could find for one trip. I couldn't get comfortable no matter what pillow or device I could've bought. The pillow helped me get a 20 min nap in tho. The second 5hr flight I had a slightly newer seat which was a lot more comfortable and this pillow helped me sleep for 3hrs straight! I am a very light sleeper and extra considerate to other passengers. So this pillow rly worked even in a middle seat. Only thing: for a long trip I need to put on the spare case (it comes with) bc the mesh started to feel irritating after a few hrs.

I feel that it is a bit too bulged in the back of the neck, kind of force my neck forward if I am sitting in a chair with a high back such as a airplane. It is also on the heavy side (weight wise).Other that that is very nice. Not sure if it can be put in the fridge to cool??? that may be a plus :DAlso, it brings an extra cover that makes it more firm if you like it so, or you can go ahead and use it just without it.

Super quick shipping, well packaged. Neck pillow came with an extra cover to change when one gets dirty. The memory foam keeps it from sagging. Warning: it is very stiff (so the head won't flop over on the sides) and somewhat heavy (which may bother some necks and shoulders) but since I've only recently started using it, I will see if it will loosen up a bit with more use. Overall, it seems to be a pretty durable neck pillow.

Love, love, love. I purchased this replacement pillow for one that tore up and was hoping this one felt the same. My feelings are this pillow is soft yet firm and holds my neck in position when sleeping. I use this for multiple purposes, I just had surgery and I sit on it, use it for knee support and adjustment between my knees as well. I sleep with it on my neck to ensure I don't roll on my side and also the softness of the gel cushions my side where I have to keep pressure limited. I think if you need comfort and are prepared to get multiple uses then this is the pillow for you!! Stephanie

I suppose it depends on what one wants in this type of pillow. I use one often and found the typical memory foam got very hot around my neck....thus why I bought this pillow. The problem I have with the pillow is that it was thicker then the usual ones...and very stiff. If this is what you like then this is one for you. I just would have liked it to be not so hard and thick in size.
