Vendor sent one that reaches "Best By" date in a week
This product works great for my kid. I however is extremely disappointed receiving a bottle that reaches the "Best By" date (8/21) in 7 days. I will not pay even $1 for a bottle that is so close to the "Best By" date. The bottle cannot be returned. I recommend purchasing this product at a site that disclose it when product is close to "Best By" or "Expires" date.

The “new formula” taste is horrible!!!
I have been buying this formula for our family for years now and resisted many germs and got rid of many colds fast because of this. My 3 children never had a problem taking it. I just ordered 2 bottles that said “new formula” on it. My 8 year old refused to take it this time and threw a complete fit because he said it “burned his mouth”. I tried it and it tastes like I’m trying to swallow cherry flavored whiskey that left my insides on fire. Why can’t companies just leave good enough alone??! Sad to say I’m currently looking for a new winter germ preventative that we all don’t choke on.

Review based on adult use
I originally bought this product for the kids, when I came down with a bad sinus infection. I hate taking Mucinex because it really messes up my digestion.. but I was at my wits end I couldn't sleep and couldn't breathe when I remembered this in the cabinet. I took 1 TBLS twice a day and in 2.5 days my head cold was pretty much gone. I will always have some of this around for me and for the kiddos.

Ive bought this twice for my grandson who ,when he gets sick,usually has to use nebulizer. Ive used this in his juice and it has kept him from having to use the nebulizer.

Safe for Kids!
This is a great cough syrup without all the artificial flavors, colors and ingredients that are harmful to our children. Old Indian Syrup for Kids, is fantastic, tastes good and is still really powerful. If you are using it for adults you will need a larger dose, but believe me this stuff is a lifesaver. Be sure and get the one for kids as the original (for adults) contains grain alcohol. This one does not have ANY alcohol.
