It was very difficult open. And after open and try it's taste old, bitter taste and small eggs. Terrible old flavor. Never try worse caviar. Not fresh.

Salmon roe is a great alternative to expensive caviar so I will always order it. I love that you get as much as you want rather a set size .

I really like the taste of this salmon roe. It is less fishy and less salty than the Echo Falls brand roe (the one on left) that I have been eating. Marky's brand (roe on the right in my pictures) is slightly smaller, slightly drier, and a bit dirtier - there was a small piece of blood vessel or something between some eggs.I don't care so much about the looks since I bought these for myself to eat, so Marky's wins. I actually ate 3 large tablespoons as soon as I opened it! I couldn't stop since it tasted so good, and wasn't too salty.The reason for taking one star off is that nothing on the packaging indicates that these are wild or wild caught salmon roe, and I couldn't find nutrition facts anywhere on Marky's website or on the internet. I really would like to know how much salt is in these eggs. Also, my 9 oz order came in a tin. Would have preferred a glass jar, but whatever.

As all prior experience with buying salmon roe in bulk, this came in tin container.The second rubber band is removed, expansion begins and juice starts to sip out onto outside walls of the container.To prevent loosing liquids, i suggest opening it over a glass container that you plan to transfer it to (yes, you will have to, caviar tends to expand by about a quarter tin can height, so unless you planning to eat 1/4lb right away as you open it, and have an oily mess in your fridge,get a glass food container to transfer contents into).Taste is exactly what I hoped for, fresh and juicy.

Absolutely here to dis THE TIN CAN IT COMES IN. Its a skoal tin or shoe polish tin can and is harder to open than solving a rubiks cube. Theres a gooey glue i hope under a larger rubber band and the whole thing is a total mess....ill never buy again for this disgusting can..altho the eggs were small whole not broken mushy ..fresh..roe but hmmm average salmon taste. Mallosol is used on salmon? I donno can says so

This salmon roe is all sticky and it doesn’t taste fresh. Just a salty stickiness sensation. I can’t return now. Wasted money.
