First and foremost, I like Scratch and Peck products because of the quality. No corn, no soy, non-GMO, organic... this combination is hard to find in my area. I have tried other brands, but the hens would sift through most of the feed. I have mostly purchased the mash, but the girls still push it on the ground looking for their favorites. This is the first time I've ordered the pellets and the girls are doing well with it. I'm saving the mash for fermenting, which they like best of all! I fermented another organic brand's mash. It literally smelled like poop. Scratch and Peck fermented mash smells like grain (as it should).

not sure what happen with chicken feed. my chikens stopeed laying eggs. i was advised to guy this and 2 days later magic happen and they started laying eggs.

New to chicken I started with this brand a few months ago I decided to try feed from my local feed store . The quality of the eggs went down quickly. I was getting soft shell eggs are the shells where very thin and brittle. I switched back to this and my eggs went back to what I was getting good quality eggs . Highly recommend this feed.

I love Scratch and Peck food for my chickens. These pellets I find my chickens will eat last. They prefer the scratch and crumbles to the pellets. But, I do love the quality of Scratch and Peck feed.

My chickens and quails love this feed. Wish the protein content was much higher as I do have to supplement to get good egg laying. Because I have to supplement, I wish the price was cheaper. This is expensive feed. Pellets were generally intact, some dust at the bottom but not enough to affect the rating.

The product was accidentally labeled wrong & they immediately made it right & gave me a refund. These days it is a bit hard to find good customer service & these people are top notch. The product is fantastic as well & our ducks love it.

They hate this. I tried to mix this in with Scratch and Peck's Whole Grain Layer Mash, and these pellets get flung all over and end up getting moldy in the coop, creating a big, unhealthy mess.

So glad Scratch and Peck made pellets! Our girls love the whole grains, but it was such a mess and fermenting just wasn’t really a feasible option for our set up. The pellets are a perfect solution to make sure our hens get high quality food with minimal mess. It did take a good amount of time to transition them to fully eating eating pellets, but they haven’t looked back since. They look healthy when running around the yard, feathers are bright and shiny, and daily eggs are strong and tasty! Highly recommend!
