Excellent for the money.
I was worried because I had already purchased a similar product from a company that begins with the letter "O", and it didn't go well.I mounted this to my A300 Ultima Patrol, and it fits very securely, no wiggle or wobble, and it's very bright. I didn't use the tapeswitch, because my thumb hits the regular capswitch just fine. The build quality feels solid, but you can see some roughness in different areas. That's to be expected at this price point. Overall, I'm pretty happy, and will probably buy another for my rifle.

Solid, full featured Scout wannabe that is excellent value!
Solid light that comes with a bunch of accessories to help you mount the light and pressure switch. Here's a summary of my experience with it.Took the Picatinny mount off and put it in my gun parts drawer. I decided to use an Arisaka keymod inline mount. Since the ProTac 2L is a bit longer than a scout, requires a ball T15 torx driver to install.Light is very easy to operate. If you don't dig your thumb into the light, the switch is recessed enough to allow momentary-only function without ever accidentally turning the light on all the way. It takes a deliberate press with the tip of your thumb, digging into the light, to turn it constant on.The pressure switch that comes with the light is nowhere near as good as a SureFire Scout switch, but keep in mind that the SureFire switch costs $75 and this light came with a $100-ish light. It works well, I haven't broken it, but I like the simplicity of the tail cap that I decided that the tape switch was unnecessary. I may put the tape switch back on and play with it more and find better ways to tuck away the cables. If I do so, I recommend putting the tailcap in the grip storage compartment of your rifle (if you have one) in case you need it again.

Great light
I have had many stream light products in the past, and have always found them to be durable and bright. This product is no different. Super bright and love the pressure switch option.

Best value you're gonna get
This light is way better than I expected for $100. The light is more than bright enough, with good spread for clearing rooms and enough focus to blind and disorient. Not nearly too bright that I'm going blind from the bounce, but it can definitely daze you if you hit a mirror. Have someone strobe you with it in the dark--not fun.Streamlight says it'll get 6 hours out of a pair of batteries but we'll see. If it's even an hour that's plenty for me to trust it to work when I need it. 10 more batteries was like $12 so it doesn't matter for me.The spread and brightness make for a pretty minimal shadow when I mount it next to the barrel, but I offset it above and the shadow totally disappears from view. The pressure switch is the real winner here. It takes a good amount of pressure so I can wrap my thumb over for recoil without getting a light AD, but it activates easily with confidence anywhere along its length. I see people using the included zip ties to mount the switch and I can't imagine why--the rubber pic clips are tight enough that they're hard to take off if you wanted to. The wire is a good length so it cleans up easy without a lot of extra that needs to be taped up like other switches. The mount is a little bulky but it just barely misses my front sight so I'm happy with it. Everything could be smaller and lighter, but not at this price and not enough that it's worth paying more.100% good value. I'll put another on my 10.5" right away.

Not bad for $100
If you're just using it for home defense or don't plan on plinking beyond 100 yards, this thing is great. All the mounting options make it easy to slap on your rifle. I've already used the batteries in the package just from running around the house larping.Would have been even better if they made it so you can also throw it in your pocket and use as a personal light. For as cheap as it is, really tough to find something to not like about it outside of not being made in merica.

Had mine since 2021
In 2021 I bought this light for my AR. After a 1000+ rounds it's still lighting things up just fine. Just started using it with my 11.5in. Still works after a 100 rounds but it was with a A2 flash hider smacking it so I can't say what a muzzle brake would do it that close to the end of the barrel.

Great value.
I live on a ranch. I will hopefully never need this to be "tactical" but it installs quickly and works well. I bought two initially and I'll be buying more. Snaps quickly into a standard rail and didn't need any special tools to install, just a screw driver. It makes investigating bumps in the night easier and safer. I wasn't a huge fan of the oddball battery size, but I figured that since they're lithium, they'll last for years without having to worry about replacing them due to time. I also get a good amount of time on the batteries. I haven't had to replace one yet, but I also don't use them everyday. I would buy this if I was looking for an inexpensive entry into weapon lights. Or if I needed something decently rugged for a daily use gun. I don't know about putting it on a rifle I was taking into combat, I would need to test it a lot more before I put that endorsement on it. But I will buy this again for ranch use

Great value tac-light with pretty much everything you might want or need.
Bought this to attach to a rifle for home defense as well as use as a hand light. The light itself is fantastic, its distance and cone are both great and reach and incredibly far distance for the size. The rail mount is sturdy and easy to tighten/loosen and remove. The kit also comes with extra button cap, which swaps with the regular toggle switch, for attaching to a rifle that is both a pressure switch and a toggle for the light. The flashlight also has a strobe mode if you're into that. All the mounting materials for the extra switch and the light are in the box, including zip ties among other things. All in all, I'm pretty sure its the best flashlight you'll get for the ~200 CAD.

Works well!
I would have loved to get a surefire or another super pricey American made weapons light but holy crap. When every accessory is 200$ or more for the good ones your 1500$ gun quickly turns into 3000$ and you gotta draw the line somewhere😀 probably the only part Chinese made on my gun except for 45 offset mounts

Dependable as the first poly stinger I still have that I bought in 1997.
The streamlight products are well-made and you don't pay a fortune for the brand name. The rechargeable poly stinger I purchased in 1997 I used on duty until my retirement in 2019 and it has never quit. This streamlight looks and feels as robust and is certainly brighter.
