NilfiskCore 130 Bar High Pressure Washer with Power Control - Mini Power Washer for Patios and Car Cleaner (1500 W)

I bought this to repalce a previous Nilfisk that had given 7 years of service. It had washed numerous family cars over the years and had been used to clean an awful lot of patios. It eventually gave up the ghost with what sounded like bearing failure.I moved to Nilfisk after two very short lived (18 months to two years) machines of the type with the yellow casing. The premature failure of both those led me to look for an alternative and I've been very happy with the price and performance of Nilfisk machines.This has a slight power increase over the previous one and it is noticeable. To date, I have only used it for car washing (Pre-wash, foam lance, rinse) but it performed very well. It's a little quieter than the old one and much neater to tidy away, thanks to the hose storage compartment.It only took 5-10 minutes to assemble and all that's needed is a medium sized phillips screwdriver. It's quite intuitive and there are digrams to help you get things in the right order.I'm very pleased with the purchase, hopefully I'll get another 7 years use out of it!

Update 1 January 2025. Washer hardly used in 2024 . Now the pressure hose connector to the machine has finally broken. For some time the connection was not secure and water leaked out under pressure. Now the connector has broken. I would definitely not recommend this washer. Very poor quality.Update 3 September 2023. See my separate review on replacement gun for this washer which I purchased a year ago. This second gun has developed the same fault. I bought this Nilfisk washer only because my previous Alto is no longer made. Perhaps Nilfisk took over Alto as Nilfisk uses the same colour scheme.. In spite of my previous positive review regarding ease of handling etc the Nilfisk washer is no use if I have to replace the gun every year so I am down grading this review. I do not recommend that you purchase this washer. I am not alone in having issues with the gun.Original review. Should have changed our pressure hose a long time ago but our previous Alto refused to break down. This Nilfisk model does what I want without any bells and whistles. It washes the car and cleans our deck. The two biggest improvements are ease of handling. The new one weighs in at 6.6kg compared to 16kg (no really) of our old one. Whether this lightweight model will not be as robust and long lasting only time will tell but the reduction in weight will be worth any reduction in longevity. The previous hose was like wrestling with a sullen octopus. The new hose is much easier to work with and to store away in the space provided. Generally very pleased and is value for money IMO.

This unit seems to be very well made. I like the way the accessories fit together. Comes with useful bottle for snowfoam etc. Everything is stored neatly on the unit when not in use. Fairly quiet in operation. Ideally I would like a bit more power but anything over 130bar is a lot more expensive. Does a good job of washing patio and car which is what I wanted it for. A great item for the price

My old Nilfisk of 6 years finally gave up the ghost and wouldn’t switch on.Having given exceptional service, I had no hesitation in buying another Nilfisk but since I use it car cleaning, cleaning Eglu chicken coops and cleaning the external walls of my bungalow, this size of jet washer is perfect.It comes with a gentle car washing nozzle and also a more aggressive nozzle. The ability to control the power via a 3 step knob is great.The cables and hose management is great, making for a very neat and tidy unit when stored in the garage. My old Nilfisk attachments still work on this model.If I get another 6 years out of it, I will be well chuffed.

My previous Nilfisk basic power washer lasted around 10 years. It was shared between two family homes so it had a lot of use - then during a long session preparing a large patio for re-pointing it made a loud rattling sound and then stopped dead! I scrapped it and bought the Core 130. After five sessions over the space of a month or so we are delighted with the performance for patio cleaning and car washing - it is superb. I like Nilsfisk kit, I have their industrial vacuum cleaner and that has run well for around 15 years and is still going strong.

I had borrowed two other washers before, including a Kaarcher, trying to clean the pavers of the patio. Neither could make much impression, just cleaning a tiny area. After reading a few reviews tried going Danish. And it worked. The so called "rough" spray head has a very useful size cleaning area and it didn't take long to clean a few dozen pavers. There are three pressure settings, and the medium setting worked fine. No need to stress out components.You can see the difference in the picture. Blew out the moss as well,and even removed some weeds !Assembly is fine, just follow the assembly order, saves undoing screws. So far working well and as long as it keeps on working I will be very happy.Not usual for me to write long reviews. Normally very brief.

Its compact. Packs up neat and tidy.Powerful enough for washing car and general domestic use.Great fun snow foaming the car.!Has 3 power settings. These settings control the motor speed. The power setting knob also switches the motor off.I added a 90 degree head to clean the underside of the car, available separately for approx £22.

Product had good reviews and a standard 2 year (extendable to 3) warranty.The gun on my pressure washer failed, leaking badly, after 15 months so I thought I'd be able to benefit from the 2 year warranty. However, although the gun is an essential component of the washer, it's categorised only as an accessory, or consumable item and as such is only guaranteed for 6 months.The best price I could find for a replacement was about £25 so as this is one of the most likely parts to fail I think it would be more honest to advertise the product with a 6 months warranty instead of 2/3 years. Very disappointed with Nilfisk service.
