Update: 10/1/2015 The mats have held up great since my original review in 2013. Two cats are sleeping on the mats as I update now!Our pets are quite cozy and warm sleeping in them. They love them enough that I have 4 in varying sizes. Please note the description states it's a mat. Keep that in mind so you aren't disappointed if you are looking for a plush type of bed. The amount of filling is in the low-middle range for a mat.I use the mats on the couch, bed, and carpeted floor, but not on hardwood or tiled floor so the thickness is fine for us. The cover is incredibly soft and made of polyester. Makes a great mat for a crate too. If using in a crate, place a non slip carpet mat which will help to prevent the bed from sliding around and help your pet feel more secure. As of 11/16/13, Amazon sells one for a few dollars.ie:  Multi Purpose Non Slip Rug Carpet 23 5 The 24x30 is the perfect size for small to large cats and smaller dogs (up to about 15 lbs). The filling is made of poly fibre and made in China.My dogs and cats don't chew things up, but these mats would likely be easily destroyed by puppies or dogs who are "chewers."PROS:- Completely machine washable (wash on gentle, dry on low for less wear & tear - mine are going strong for years!)-Cover remains extremely soft despite multiple washing and no pilling and still looks like new-Both my cats & dogs love them, bolster on sides are comfy for pets to prop head on-Low enough profile to fit in crates and still give pet plenty of room height wise while making pet feel secure-great for cats and smaller dogs-has held up to many Dyson vacuumingsCONS:-Some bunching filling after multiple washes so I now wash the mats in a quick gentle cold cycle. My washer doesn't have an agitator either. Washing this way will minimize the batting balling up along with if you make sure to spread out any bunched areas of filling by pulling the batting gently apart best you can before drying on low.-Likely not durable for dogs that like to chew-Would not recommend for large heavy dogs (not enough support)

So far, my cats like this bed but after a couple months the filling is getting lumpy with high and low spots that I can't smooth out. It won't be comfortable for them if this continues to get worse and it probably will get lumpier. I intentionally got it because of the bolster perimeter because they like to lean against and use it for a small pillow for their heads. The fabric is thin. I haven't washed it yet but I don't think it will take too many washings and that will make the lumps worse too. I did spray it completely with rubbing alcohol and let it dry so it would be disinfected before my Babies used it. Also, the manufacturers box was sealed with tape and ran the tip of a razor blade down the center of the tape to open. The bed was packed to tightly in the box that it would be very easy to CUT the Bed itself when opening. Fortunately the blade only cut the plastic bag around the bed and ran along a space between the folds of fabric but only missed cutting the bed by about 1/4 of an inch.

We just got this dog bed today and my pup, Blue, LOVES it! He usually tries to sneak up on the bed or couch, but every time he's gone to lay down today, he's chosen his new bed :) It's the perfect size (and he's a Pitbull/Bull Mastiff mix) and it is incredibly soft. If there was anything at all I had to really critique, it would be that I wish it was just a little bit thicker. But like I said, he's happy so I'm happy. I got the Blue one to match his name ;). Highly recommend this product!

This is floppier than I expected, but that may have been my fault for not reading the details closely enough. It doesn't stay in place in the kennel, but it does work great in the car when we take the dog with us!

The center pad balls up and it is very difficult to straighten it back out

Perfect size for my puppy . I ordered hot pink, its very pretty and washed well. She is chewing it and that has nothing to do with quality. It's is just frustrating. I will ordere a new one after she is done with teething. I love that it isn't too thick and didn't clump up after washing it. I also dried it air dry setting on my dryer with no problem. The dog loves it and it keeps her warm.

This is fairly thin. Worked well for a short while but has since been replaced with a Kong bed. Unfortunately this one fell apart in the wash first time we washed it. Washing is a must for a dog bed.

It's a little on the thin side; the filling also clumped a little when I washed & dried it. Not necessarily worth the money I spent, in my opinion. I'll keep looking for a better-quality and longer-lasting kennel mat.

I love this and am impressed with the thickness and softness compared to the previous one we had. Still on the thinner side as it is not meant as a bed but as a crate mat it is perfect.

This arrived super early and is absolutely beautiful! Color is so vibrant and fits the crate perfectly. My Jack Russell is already on it. Did not even try to go back on her other blanket. Would highly recommend. I do hope it lasts.

Okay for a crate bed but as a regular dog bed not so much. Good size for my husky but it's about equivalent to a blanket on the floor

The dog loves this. the cats also lay with her on it so it's nice that she's getting some support (she's 10years old and a larger breed) and enjoys being relaxed.
