I’m a light auburn and the chalk didn’t want to stick to my hair and that means I saw very little color deposition.

I bought this to use on my daughters blonde hair and after seeing the star rating thought I would give it a shot. The first picture was after using the hair comb on my daughters blonde hair for 30 minutes. I followed the directions exactly and her hair barely looks blue. Honestly in person it looked more green. I went through two combs in 30 minutes and both had the ends break off within the first 3 combs through, the second one has a giant tangle because it just kept repetitively tangling her hair. Honestly, save your money and just buy a spray can or hair dye which is what I ended up doing. You will be much happier with the results.

These might work with lighter hair color but my brown haired daughter had no luck with these. No matter how many times we rubbed the chalk across her dampened hair, the color did not show up. The feeling on the hair was “sticky and uncomfortable,” she told me. I thought from the reviews that these would work but it turned out to be a waste of money. My daughter was so disappointed because we couldn’t complete her costume by making her hair orange.

I ordered all white for my daughters cosplay. She has very light blonde hair and it did not color her hair at all. We tried on both dry and damp hair. Nothing. All it did was make her hair look greasy. Also, as others have stated, the combs are not smooth and have a tendency to grab onto hair and rip it out if you are not extremely careful. We have used other hair chalk before that was great, but this is not. The only positive is that the greasy residue washed out easily.

It makes the hair really greasy and dirty looking and comes off in chunks it doesn't feel like chalk. More like clay.

I HAVE USED OTHER HAIR CHALK AND THEY WERE NOT LIKE THIS ONE. THIS ONE REALLY DOES NOT SHOW LIKE OTHERS DO. MORE IMPORTANT IS THAT I WASHED AND DRID MY HAIR AND IT LOOKED REALLY GOOD. THEN I WAS GOING TO USE THIS CHALK IN MY HAIR. IT BEARLY SHOWS IN THE HAIR, BUT EVEN WORSE IT HAS MADE MY LOOK SO DIRTY AND STICKY. WILL HAVE TO WASH MY HAIR ALL OVER AGAIN. LIKE I SAID I HAVE USED OTHER CHALKS AND THEY DID NOT DOES THIS TO MY HAIR. I REALLY WANT A WHITE CHALK THAT DOES NOT DO THIS.

This definitely did not turn out as expected. The pictures that a company the product are very misleading. This goes on similar to a white paste that weighs your hair down, cakes up and looks gross.

I rarely review products but, this is a terrible product. Followed instructions (wet hair, multiple passes with colored comb) and there was no change in the hair (normal color very light brown). Now- just a tremendous waste of plastic in a landfill (making me feel even worse about this purchase).

I’ve tried the purple and pink when I had my black hair, easy to put on and washes off with shampoo. Now that I’m transitioning to grey/white, I still have the dark length, I’ve decided to try the white ones to blend in, hair has to be wet or damp for it to cling to my hair. I let it dry and it blends in well giving it that natural look. Yes, it’s time consuming to apply the chalk to each chunk of hair but it looks awesome!

The photo attached shows how it looks on black hair. Obviously it was better on light hair, but it does show more than I thought it would on black hair.Although I didn’t use it the way it was meant to be used. You see, the top of the brush thing broke off and the entire blue chalk piece fell out. Then I held the chalk in my hand and just rubbed it on my hair. Which already had some hair gel in it (still wet).Perhaps this is why it showed better on me, than other dark-haired people.

I literally had to take the "chalk" outta the comb get it wet as well and rub it on the hair as it laid against my hand. Like actually put a decent amount of effort it. Honestly hair wax is much easier

It wasn’t working at all!!!

Doesn't work on short hair and doesn't work on black hair. We desperately needed it to work and tried a lot of different things hut it did very little.
