Q: I need a mat for kettlebell workouts, but i'd like to use my concept2 rowerg on the mat as well. can this mat handle the weight (57lbs) of the rower?

It should, but the question is does your original flooring able to handle the row machine and kettlebells. The mat is a layer that will protect the floor (concrete, carpet, tile) and adds as an extra cushion. Remember it will leave indents but does spring back and have some resiliency, but I don't know the effect of long term placement of a rowing or any type of heavy equipment, I only placed a 4-legged chair for a duration of a workout and it sprung back to original shape.

Q: Can this mat handle aerobics in shoes?

We have had this mat for about 2 to 3 months and do cardio aerobics with sneakers almost every day, as well as yoga and variety of other exercise programs. We also walk across it numerous times a day. It has not shown any wear, stretching, etc. We bought this mat because of its strong ratings for aerobic exercises.

Q: Specifically - does this mat protect joints when placed on top of concrete? I don't care about the garage floor.

I used this on my concrete floor basement which has a thin carpet. It helps as any type of jumping which was to painful without it. I would make sure to invest in good footwear and consult with your doctor. I would buy this mat again in a heart beat. It makes my workouts much more comfortable.
