AirNav Radar 1090 MHz Indoor Antenna

My home-made 1/4 wave gp antenna on the right way outperforms this supposed 4 db gain antenna. Looks cool, but does not do the job - not sure why. Even close-up aircraft it can't seem to detect let alone at range.

I've tried an assortment of antenna combinations that I have laying around with predictably various results receiving ADS-B. I had high expectations for this antenna and was not disappointed. This antenna performs extremely well for it's size! I am getting information from aircraft up to 200nm away from my location (indoors on the 4th floor) whereas with a DIY folded dipole I was getting up to 150nm previously. Very much worth the price.

really like the product, setup i used it inside house and got a range of up to 78 nautic miles, now after software installation and near a window i get exactly the double range - 150-160 nautic miles.i am near to an airport and see always more then 20 aircrafts, even the grounded ones :)

Antenne générique non spécialisée pour la fréquence 1090 MHz : donc 2x moins performante qu'une antenne faite maison spécialisée pour cette fréquence (cherchez "spider antenna adsb diy").

Ich nutze diese Antenne seit etwa einem halben Jahr und bin soweit zufrieden mit ihr!Ich komme teilweise bis auf 140NM und das obwohl die Antenna nicht so optimal aufgestellt ist wie sie sein könnte. (umgeben von höheren häusern und bäumen in der gegend)Im Durchschnitt bin ich wohl bei um die 100NM Reichweite.Die Antenne ist bei mir draußen mittig auf meinem Fensterbrett angesiedelt und das Wetter hat der Antenne bisher nicht geschadet.
