Great bang for your buck
Usually I use cut up recycled cut up vinyl mini blinds for tags but ran out. I use 10 of thousands of tags and have found no better value than these. Even wholesale is twice as expensive for basically the same product

great tags - use a good marker
I have been using these stakes for my seedlings for years and am about to order another box. What does 'weatherproof' mean for a plastic tag? It doesn't melt in the rain, shrivel in the sun/heat, and white tags don't fade. Might blow away with hurricane winds though. Some reviews say the writing fades - that is not a problem with the tag but with the marker used. I've used Artline Garden Markers, 0.8 mm Writing Width, Black, 12 Pack (EK-780) - available from Amazon - fine point and much more durable than Sharpie. The writing stays legible for several years, even in Carolina coastal sun and heat, and the tags themselves last until I accidentally step on them and break them. Both good products.

Ink washes off over time
These little tabs are perfect for starting seeds. I used a waterproof permanent marker and over a few months the writing has faded on them. The tabs themselves seem to hold up well in the weather, just not the writing.

Good value for the money
I like this product because it is weatherproof and lettering doesn't fade too quickly.

These are the best!
I use thousands of plant tags per year and have tried many, many brands. These tags are absolutely the best yet and it's unlikely that I will purchase any other brand now I know how good they are. The slightly roughened surface on each side is necessary to keep legible what you write on it. I use an HB pencil or a grease pencil (with the HB pencil being the most resilient). The tags are flexible and it will take years before they degrade and start to disintegrate. This means I don't have to rewrite the tags and can build up a stock of same-name tags that will save me hours of time over the course of a year.

good enough
borderline too short, barely enough space to write cultivar names with a regular sharpiecheap option, works fine for nursery sales, young plant starts. would not suggest using these as long term markers as they fade quick in weather and get lost in mulch easily
