I’ve bought my son a couple of the Disney versions. They’re ok but are plastic and don’t last long when the kids are fighting with them.. This jvmu lightsaber though is very sturdy, has 12 color options, 3 being different shades of blue. The impact sounds are accurate, double tap the button to make it strobe and 3 taps to mute all sounds.. The handles are aluminum and you’re provided a coupling so you can screw them together.. just like Darth Maul had.. I’ll very likely buy another one in the near future so I can play with my son.. I’ve seen different reviews showing a black grip but mine are silver.. Not exactly movie accurate but for a 7 year old, who cares, right?.. Sturdy, lightweight, many different colors.. comes with usb-c charger.. And as a parent, you’ll love seeing your child’s face light up when you give them this.. Worth every penny.

So I'll actually go into detail with this since I don't normally write reviews but I can't begin to say how happy I am with this duel saber! I'm using it for a different cosplay, not for star wars but it's great for both!Now onto the actual review: it's pretty sturdy so you definitely get your money's worth. It comes in multiple colors and you press the button 3 times fast to mute the sound because after awhile the sound gets a bit annoying (but that's just my preference and opinion). In the photos I'm 5'6 so I wanted to show just how tall this duel blade staff is when put together (it does come with an connecting attachment piece). It's also very bright even in normal lighting indoors. I like that it doesn't take batteries, just a charging cable. The handle is also a metal base so very nice and sturdy. Overall I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for lightsabers and want something between overly cheap and way too expensive. This is perfect. Plus it's for dueling so it's made for durability. I hope I helped!

I bought these for a friend’s wedding, and they were epic! The ability to change the color, turn the sounds on and off, having them as a double saber or as two, the battle sounds, the flickering when they contact another object, everything was amazing about them. I wasn’t sure how durable they were when I first got them, but during the course of the reception, two of the groomsman had a full-out battle with them, full contact between the two lightsabers, and they help up so well! Not a scratch on them at all! They also have a very long battery life!I would highly recommend these to anyone, and I feel like they were definitely worth the price!

Right off the bat, these are definitely $40 lightsabers. That being said, for the price they are pretty good. These are great for dueling, content creation, and overall a good starting place for lightsabers. In person, they aren't as bright as the photos or the videos, and they are baselit. The light does not travel the entire length of the blade, so the top does get dim. Along with that, the blades are a lot shorter than I expected. The majority of the colors are nice, but they use an RGB bulb to make the colors, so colors like yellow and white don't look the greatest, white especially, it's pink. The handles are very light and seems sturdy, so I really like the lightness of the handles. It makes them very agile. Overall, these are good for the price, just remember they are two $40 lightsabers.

We purchased two sets of these in July 2024. The kids (and adults) absolutely love them! They light up and make sounds (just as advertised) and they are very easy to put together (combine to make a double staff) and use. They have been surprisingly sturdy, we purchased this brand because of the 12 month warranty. This weekend, one set has partially come apart (a couple of screws came loose and the bottom cap has come off and the writing is now exposed. We contacted the seller and asked about how to get a replacement for the damaged set and are waiting on a response. Fingers crossed that this is an easy exchange process. We will update this review when we get a response.

If you are looking for something that lights up and makes some sounds these aren't a bad choice if you catch them with a discount. They held up for about 7 months of fairly hard fighting before both failed in one way or another. One had the power wire come loose from the battery and the other had the speaker disconnect. Easy enough to fix both issues. Still decently impressive for cheap lightsabers.

These have a much better than expected build quality, considering the price. My daughter loves them. only downside is that the sound effects do not follow the movement they just play on a loop.
