Seymour Duncan SSL-1 Vintage Staggered Strat Pickup - RWRP White

This was just what I ordered, Seymour Duncan SSL-1 RWRP Middle pickup for a stratocaster. It was new and the coil was in good shape, sounds great too.

I have installed and played a lot of different Strat and Tele pickups and I can tell you this is by far my favorite. I have the California 50's set (SSL-1) in my Strat and love em and will never change them again. I went through many different pickups until i landed on the old tried and true SD SSL-1. There is a reason that SD made this one first. I wanted to add a mid pickup to my Tele and figured this was a great place to start. Perfect mid Tele pickup! It compliments the SD STL-1 in the bridge and the SD Mini Humbucker vintage in the neck perfectly as well. Just make sure you get the RWRP version for the mid.

I purchased this SSL-1 RWRP to use in the middle position of my MIM Strat that I converted into a poor man's version of the David Gilmour black Strat and am very happy with the tone. The only negative is that it doesn't come with a cover.

This is a vintage strat pick up, so there is going to be noise if you use a heavy distortion, but on a clean tone is going to sound cristal clear. And with a bit of overdrive it does sound amazing

Really gets that bell tone. It's reverse-wound, reverse-polarity, so use it as a middle pickup to cancel hum in positions 2 and 4 on the 5-way pickup selector switch.
