Hormel Microwavable Compleats Lasagna with Meat Sauce 10 oz (Pack of 6)

The lasagna with meat sauce is one of the better ones of the Hormel line but it does have its faults. The sauce is way too sweet like all of Hormel's pasta dishes and has an acidic undertone that's a bit too much. The noodles, though, are very thick and makes the entire dish with a nice compliment of small pieces of meat to add texture. I personally can't handle the sweetness of the sauce though and have to add hot sauce or Sriracha chili sauce in order to enjoy it. But even still, this is definitely one of the better meals available. I just wish there was way less sodium! This has even more than the typical super salty meat dishes! Crazy!For what this is -- a non-perishable prepared food that is fairly cheap -- it's pretty good. It will fill you up quickly at very low effort and cost, but if you are going to compare it to something you can make yourself, well, there really isn't any comparison.

I love Hormel Compleats. They're all very convenient, since I can stash them in a cabinet in my office and not worry about remembering to bring something from home, or about it getting stolen from the communal refrigerator.This isn't really lasagna; it's Italian meatballs with curly noodles. There's no cheese that I can detect, either. The tomato sauce is oddly sweet, with just a hint of spice in the background. The noodles are rather softer than I like, but that's expected when they've been soaking in sauce for who-knows-how-long. I rather like this, but it isn't lasagna!

This Compleat Lasagna meal was recently delivered, and my daughter enjoyed it as much as I did. These Compleat meals are New to us, as we are just trying them out to see which ones we would enjoy, and I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It's very tasty, has enough meat sauce, and it's satisfying. We had a small salad on the side, and skipped the bread. We were quite contented, and so full, there was no room for dessert. My local grocery store does Not sell this meal, so we are grateful to find it on Amazon. Tasty meal, ready in a jiffy, satisfying, and reasonable price. We will be ordering again. Highly recommended!

It tasted bland and required longer to heat than other items.

This is one of the better versions of the compleats meals. The pasta and meat sauce are tasty and the portion size is just right. I've been trying many of the flavors of the compleats and this one is one of the better ones for sure.Clearly this isn't really lasagna. Italian meatbites with curly noodles is an accurate description. And yes, there's no cheese that I can detect, either. The tomato sauce is oddly sweet, with just a hint of spice in the background.With all that said I like this and wouldn't hesitate to get more.

Hormel Compleats Lasagna with Meat Sauce doesn't look much like the package picture. What's inside is a sea of sugary, citric-acidy sauce. The sauce conceals a very few small pieces of some sort of dried meat that tastes OK and a smaller than wanted portion of doughy, dry pasta. The pasta is acceptable, meat edible, and sauce is awful. I'm unhappy at the thought of throwing away all of these uneaten lasagna meals, but I'd feel bad giving them away to anyone else.I advise you to avoid this product.

This is one of the best tasting of these little meals in my opinion. Sixty seconds in the micro and food is on the table. As with all the Compleats, the sodium/salt content is high so definitely not for anyone on a sodium restricted diet. The calories however are low so great for a fast, hot meal on a weight-loss plan. Add a small salad or vegie and it's good to go.

This is NOT Lasagna. Give this a pass. These are the noodles from the Chicken and noodles dish in way too sweet and salty tomato sauce.Hormel used to make a real Lasagna years ago with Ricotta Cheese and layers of lasagna noodles. It was MUCH better than this.Get the Manicotti dish, it's MUCH better!
