Best for when you need to fit painting into your everyday routine.
Spring is in the air and the windows, doors and walls look shabby and dusty. I resolve to tidy up and refresh the paintwork. However I am endlessly interrupted, people call, dogs need walking, children collecting... So I must do what I can when I can, rather than keep a special set of clothes for painting. I can wear my everyday stuff, safely under wraps beneath these generously cut, thickly woven white cotton painters overalls. They say they are pre shrunk, so will happily go through the required wash, hand or machine, spin or wring, at 40 degrees. However mine did come out a bit smaller after such a wash so be sure to order in a generous size for you. Mine at 38" are still fine for size, I am size 12, they could be folded up if too long in leg or arm. The legs are quite baggy. You can put your hands straight through to your own clothes for pocket access. They have their own deep side pockets, top pocket, back pocket and leg pocket for a ruler, say. Buttons and button holes are well inserted down the front, A proper collar stands tidily up, and at the back there is a ruched elastic waistband to adjust to your size. The overalls are well made, neatly sewn, they do appear to be top quality. No problems when you bend over, no unexpected exposure; it feels nice to be all of a piece, together as it were. Looking the part is halfway to doing a good job,I always wonder at celebrities on these makeover programmes as they set off to paint a room in their normal clothes, Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen's long cuffs especially!

Not made for a chap my shape!
I was hopeful that this might provide the solution to the problem of what to wear for painting and other messy jobs that inevitably take a toll on ordinary clothes. I'm about 5'10" and wear 48-50" clothing, but even though my boilersuit/overall was labelled as a size 50" I simply couldn't get into it! Once I was in the legs, what was left just wouldn't come up over my body and shoulders, even with every button undone, so I never got to try it on properly. The item I received also seemed a bit grubby, as if someone else had tried it on - and perhaps failed, like me? Overall (no pun intended!) a disappointment. Returned for refund and, decently, they're refunding my postage too.

not bad overall
Following advice from previous buyers I ordered 2 sizes bigger than my chest measurement. After washing, the overalls are a good fit across the shoulders, but the legs are far too long (I am 5'9" tall). The sewing of the buttons and buttonholes is a bit slapdash but generally a good product for the price. I like the several pockets.

Good product..but...
Product good quality. Took advice and purchased a size larger as suggested by other reviewers as being cotton they shrink on initial washing. My only issue was that of delivery which was four weeks and outside the quoted delivery dates. Based on many years of buying through Amazon I feel that time period was excessive.Hence three stars for the product but none for delivery.

Watch your sizing, otherwise good value item.
Ordered a size larger than I actually am and probably could have ordered two sizes larger if comments about shrinkage after washing are accurate. That said, I am happy with the quality and as long as I can get the house decorated throughout using them without washing, they will have done the job.

Material and fit
Good quality: Fit: I am size 14/16 (36 chest) purchased size 44, easily fitted over jeans and t shirt, able to stretch without straining material. Legs nice and long, easily rolled up.

Sizing problem
This is a very good quality overall. 100% cotton with buttons and plenty of pockets. But the sizing is completely wrong. 48" is just right for a 40" chest man with a 36" waist. It will shrink for the first few washes so don't sew the hems of the trousers if they need shortening until after a few washes.

Good quality
As described, fits well and is of a decent material that the paint does not absorb through. 10 out of 10 cannot fault them. These were for a professional painter and decorator

Good Value.
Very good value, but the quality of the stitching could have been better. I had to sew the one pocket to stop it tearing open and one of the buttonholes required a tidy to stop the button snagging on the fraying material. However, the overalls are fit for purpose and should last many years. For the price, I don't think you'll find better.

shrunk
On arrival I had to take the legs up from 31" to 29". After two washes on 40Deg. the legs had shrunk by about 4" and the arms about 1 to 2". I returned them to the company who refunded the purchase price.

Good product but order at least two sizes above your measurement
Nothing wrong with these overalls - nice thick material, buttons firmly sewn on, pockets where you need them - but I found it a tight fit around the body (top to bottom) even though I'd ordered a size larger than my measurement. I wouldn't be able to wear a jumper inside it.

Boiler suit
ordered a XXL as I wanted a loose fit, however still took assistance to get it over my shoulders, could do with elastic across the back of the shoulders, That said it is well made and beats that disposable type.

Would have preferred 2 breast pockets but otherwise very happy with style and
Ordered size 42 based on previous reviews even though my husband normally buys size 38 - but overalls were still a little small.Would have preferred 2 breast pockets but otherwise very happy with style and fabric
