This automatic pipette filler has left me pleasantly surprised. It works very well for laboratory use. I have use it to transfer cell culture media to flasks as well as for preparing western blot buffers. I have used 5ml, 10ml and 25ml fisher brand serological pipettes and works very well with this product. In the first use, you would have to apply a small amount of pressure to adjust the serological pipettes inside the nozzle of the pipettor. Overtime, it will become easier to fit the nozzle. The charging indicator is a huge plus for me, I had a very old automatic pipette that never had a charging indicator, so I never really knew if it was or not charging and would randomly discharge during lab work. Overall, I love this product and will most likely buy another one in the future. One for outside the safety cabinet and the other inside the hood.

This product works as expected with good suction and hold, even with larger volumes (25-50 mL). However, it may not be the best for delicate procedures like careful layering of any liquid, as the drawup and blowout can get choppy. But if all you need is something to draw up liquid, this will get the job done.

Te product did not work at all. So, there is nothing to lik about it. The design and assemply is not complicated, so no issue with setting it up. It was not just fit for purpose. I do HPLC method development wth usual solvent (ACN:Water) gratient or isocratic. So, nothing sounds like rocket science.I wish I hhad opened and attempted using it before my window for return expired but I had been busy with grant submission, which I just pushed through yesterday. My entering lab and attempting to use the pipette was met with frustration.

The media could not be loaded. I've used the manual (red) pipette bulbs for years. They do the job, but they can be a pain with larger volumes, or as they get old and the rubber cracks, losing suction. Having an electric pipette filler definitely cuts down on fill time - and discharge time too! The pipette doesn't have an auto-stop, so it uses a 0.45 micron filter to protect the internals. The filter can be changed by unscrewing the blue tip, then pulling the silicone tip and filter out. They provide extra filters, but this looks like it may be a standard 0.45 micron syringe filter - but maybe a little thinner. With careful technique, you shouldn't be replacing the filter very often.The unit clearly identifies when it is charging and when it is fully charged. The base of the charging station has 4 rubberized feet that provide a solid, non-skid base. Operation is very easy. The tip of the pipette inserts into the silicone port, just like on a manual pipette. The button with the up arrow pulls liquid up into the pipette, and the down arrow discharges liquid with pressure.One word of caution - on glass pipettes, there are two different types: TD (To Deliver) and TC (To Contain) (the type is always clearly marked on the pipette). TC pipettes are designed to have the last drop blown out of the pipette to have an accurate volume. TD pipettes deliver the proper volume even if there is a last little drop clinging to the inside of the pipette tip. So, for a TC pipette, go ahead and let the electric pipette blow all of the liquid out., but for a TD pipette, you can use the pressure for most of the liquid, but then stop short and let the pipette drain naturally. If you're just using this for hobbies (I'm using it to make essential oil blends), then the TC or TD doesn't really matter, because you'll be way more exact using a pipette than most essential oil recipes would require. But, if you're doing lab work where precision is essential, this will be something to keep in mind.This is a welcome edition to my home lab supplies and I would have loved to have this when I was working in a laboratory, as it definitely speeds up work!

I've never used a pipette like this before. My thoughts was to use it to measure out and pour Agar Agar for plates used to cultivate gormet mushrooms. I have no previous experience with type of tool so take that for what it's worth. First it didn't come with any pipettes it took almost two weeks to get one of those which brings me to the second thing. The serological pippets are quite pricey. I just got one 25ml glass one and that was 10 bucks. I suppose if you were in a bonefied lab cost might not be an issue but it is for me. Third it could be me but it doesn't hold liquid in the pipe very well I ended up making a bigger mess than I do with just pouring for a flask. I know that sounds like a bad review and perhaps for someone like me it is . But it does do what it's supposed to it's well built and it gives you extra filters to keep it up and running which is a Plus. I think I just need to practice with it a bit more but it did help me make some high quality plates for my mushrooms so I'm pretty happy today...

I bought the ONiLAB Electric Pipette Controller, Automatic Motorized Pipette Filler. It broke in less than 2 months after using it a few times. It stopped working. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Do not buy this product. It doesn’t work and there’s no customer service. Waste of money.
