I installed an iOttie adhesive dashoard pad in my Audi Allroad in 2016 and neither the iOttie One Touch or the dashboard pad came loose even once from then to 2023, when I totaled the car. The phone holder and dashboard pad stayed in place even during the accident. Before giving up the wrecked car, I removed the dashboad pad to observe whether the pad had left any damage on the dashboard. There was no damage and no sign, e.g. color difference, a pad had ever been installed in the car. I just installed an iOttie dashboard pad in my present vehicle.

I only gave it 4 of 5 for suction as it doesn't actually have any suction, but it allows the iOttie suction cup to work properly.I haven't used it for that long to see how well it holds up, especially in hot dashboard sun or below zero cold.If you need to remove the old one (or this one) they say to use dental floss, but I found the floss breaks and cuts into your hands before you get it off.Instead, I used 30lbs braided fishing line, and used gloves and/or tie each end around a stick or spoon.-----------------It worked fine until the summer and the adhesive on the bottom gave out, with the iOttie attached. It just does not seem to handle the heat. I tried Shoe Goo and that didn't work either.It might be fine if 75 degrees (F) and below, but 80 - 120 on a hot summer day it can't handle it.I'm still giving it 4/5 stars for the cooler months.

It has a sticky back and mounts car accessories with suction bases

For those wondering, this is simply a replacement mounting pad for dashboard mounted iOttie car phone mounts. It acts as the level surface for suction car mounts.I was able to use this dashboard pad to create a second mounting point for my car mount. With two pads, I'm able to alternate mounting positions to the right and left of my steering wheel. This would also serve well as a replacement mounting pad, since the strong adhesive of these pads are not necessarily reusable once removed.While I wish the product were less expensive, I'm glad it's something iOttie has decided to make available. It certainly beats buying a whole new car mount from them.

seems to stick the best when you leave it two days before adding the phone holder. Which I never took the time to do prior!

Did not stick to my dash. I prepped it and let it cure but still pulled up with the first use.
