Q: Has anyone used this to help with a babies cold? My LO gets a very dry/blocked nose overnight at the moment and would love to know if this would help!

We bought this to see if it would help with our 2 1/2 year old daughters horrible asthmatic cough. We use a good quality pure eucalyptus essential oil in it and 2 weeks later the cough has almost completely disappeared. See my full review for more details of this. We also now have 2 more one for my other daughter and one or our bedroom. It has helped all of us fight off nasty colds within a week of using it nightly (with eucalyptus oil also), so I can thoroughly recommend this product, both for its diffuser effect and that the product itself is very well made and functions perfectly when used every night.

Q: Does this come with any oils?

Q: I'd like to use it at night when I sleep but the light will bother me....can it still work without the light on?

Yes, there is an option to choose to switch off the lights. The only ones still visible are the button lights. They don't bother me as I just turn the diffuser round so that they're hidden.

Q: Does this use heat to diffuse?

I gave this as a present but am under the impression that the diffusion is created by the ultra sonics not heat. QUOTE it uses Ultrasonic waves to instantly vaporize water and essential oil in the tank, to produce a dry fragrant mist,
