Wired Number Pad, USB Numeric Keypad 19 Key Number Keypad Keyboard for Laptop PC Computer Notebook, Big Print Letters - Black

I bought three of these for a team doing data entry in a very dusty, dirty storage area on old laptops without keypads built into their small keyboards. The keypads worked well for the roughly two months that they were in heavy use, and I expect them to continue when we resume work next year. The switches feel solid and have fairly long travel. The layout is good, with a delete key that does not require shift or shift-lock to work -- this is a less error-prone arrangement than on many keypads on which delete is a shift-arrow key combination. On those, one can easily press the arrow instead of delete and then overwrite digits in an unintended cell of a spreadsheet. These are hard-wired keypads, so they do not require batteries or charging and do not have to connect through Bluetooth or special wireless receivers; they simply plug in and work. They are reasonably compact, although the full-sized keycaps and long-travel switches make them a bit thicker than some other brands. They require an old-school USB-A port, or an inexpensive adapter for newer laptops that have only USB-C ports. Overall, a solid rendition of a basic product, for a good price.

I have only had this for a month and it has changed my accounting already. My stupid computer doesn't have a number pad and this fixes that. It works fine and I have no problem with it. To address some of the concerns others have mentioned. Yes, it does have a number lock button. Yes, there doesn't seem to be a point, but it really doesn't negatively impact my usage as it is always on so not sure why it is a big deal for people. Yes, it does have a 0 and 00 button. Again, it took a second to remember, but it is a big deal. If it is a big deal, then them may not be the number pad for you. Otherwise I would reccomend it.

I am an animator / 3D designer, and one of my programs requires using the numpad for switching views. My keyboard doesn't come with a number pad, and toggling the 'emulate numpad' feature was helpful but had some drawbacks. Now that I have this product, I no longer have to toggle the numpad and can work more flawlessly!

For $10 it is definitely a good option for a no-frills number keypad.Context:I recently started a remote job that I need a number keypad, and my work laptop doesn’t have one. I couldn’t decide which one to get so I grabbed several different options to try. Things in order of importance to me: Bluetooth (not a 2.4 Ghz adapter because I want to keep the USB ports open), portable (I might have to travel with it), sound (not too loud in case I am working in a public space), typing quality (preferably mechanical keys), and customizable (hot swappable keycaps and switches and maybe programmable). I didn’t extensively use each: I assume all of them work so I tested most of them without connecting them.

Great item; works as expected, and I specifically needed a wired number pad and this one is perfect for me.

Love the springiness of the buttons. Easy to press but a little noisy.

I bought this because my laptop doesn't have a keypad. I don't need anything fancy and so picked this cheap one. It functions just as it should.My complaint is it includes a number lock key that is placed above the 7. This frequently results in my finger hitting it by mistake and turning off the keypad. I don't understand why it needs to be on the keypad at all. I admit, this isn't something I considered before shopping for this thing but maybe this will help other users shop accordingly.Anyway, be advised.

The buttons are nice and spongy, perfect because it works as a calculator as well
