Smart piece of gear for MIDI users. Instructions are a tad obscure - best to find someone to assist you who has been there before. Very robust construction. This is a go-anywhere device. Good value.

Doesnt seem to do multiclient, doesnt seem to work at all with some devices, software is complicated and manual is unhelpful. I feel like the fool who was parted with his money, even though many people reckon this machine is outstanding. I agree its a great concept, and build quality matches the price, but it simply doesn't do what I want. Hoping for a firmware upgrade, meanwhile its back in its box :(

Little bit of a learning curve learning how to configure this but worth every penny as it gives you control of all your midi and usb routing. I can even use a midi expander with this to get even more midi ports. Excellent professional midi solution for your recording studio.

Enables use of iOS devices with MIDI keyboards and devices. I am using it with an app to program my keyboards with sounds for live stage work. My live keyboard rig has 3 keyboards and I need to use up to 8 different sound patches in a single song and do splits and layers of sound patches to achieve this. I used to need a minute or so between songs to set up the keyboards with the appropriate sounds/patches. I use this interface with an app 'iMIDIPatchBay' which allows me to pre Program the settings for my keyboards for every song in my repertoire complete with volume/chorus/cutoff setting for each keyboard. Also allows me to use a sustain pedal plugged into one keyboard with all 3 boards if required. The songs I need to play at a gig can be placed into an in app set list in the correct order so I just have to click on the iPad apps next song button to change the setting for all 3 keyboards as required. It happens instantly allowing my to play one song into the next with no delay.Only problem I have had so far is with build quality specifically with regard to the PCB mounted power supply socket which is only held in place by its solder tags and a spot of silicon glue. Over time with constant use it became loose and would connect power intermittently making it unusable. I modified the unit by removing the faulty socket and connecting a case mounted one using soldered leads from the circuit boards to the socket which seems to be ok for the moment.
