Great for aftermarket 3D printed items and other plastics
I purchased these inserts along with a heat gun also found on Amazon with additional tips used for soldering and 3D Printing. I recommend drilling a pre hole first to eliminate overheating the plastic and then simply insert the specific brass tip into the insert and set temperature to about 300ºF. If you flare the pre-hole after drilling and before inserting the insert there will be no noticeable melted plastic around the finished insert. I always set the insert below flush and use a razor blade to remove any residue around the depressed insert.

Holds well, sized accurately too
I used these in some 3d prints and they worked great and held together. Their sizing is also accurate, as I double checked with some digital calipers. I was really bored and even counted how many came in the bag. The bag said 100, and I counted exactly 100. Not bad.

Designed to work well, and they do.
These inserts are fabulous. I tried some other "cheap" ones and gave up. I bought these on whim, and was so satisfied with the ease of insertion and mechanical grip. These insert are definitively a great value for the money.

Buy these!
These are the best that I've tried. The angled serrations bite hard in the plastic and are very hard to pull out.I use a soldering iron to sink these into plastics and am very impressed by how well they work.

Exactly what I needed!
These were exactly what I needed for a 3d printed violin I made! They're made well and can hold a great amount of pressure! The chin rest and the neck (both grey pieces) are being held with these. My only real problem with the product is the fact that it didn't come with the solder tip needed to melt these in and I had to buy it separately. It seems like something so simple should be added with this.

Consistent and useful
I usually keep a bunch of these on hand to add M3 threading to heavier duty 3D prints. They're consistently machined within very good tolerances, and there haven't been any surprises. Work well with PLA, PETG, and ASA plastics that I've used.

Work as Intended
These were better than the general ones I have seen.They do have sharper edges and the haven’t slipped to other I have with PLA and PETG 3d printsDefinitely will repurchase once I have to.
