Looking through Rose-coloured glasses!
I was very impressed with these binoculars, especially as i bought them on sale for under $50 CDN, and also got free shipping! I searched online & in stores and couldn't find a better deal for the magnification (6-8x) I wanted. The pink ones are cheaper than other color options, so if the colour isn't a big deal, go for it. The pink isn't super bright, but would probably not be great for hiding undetected outdoors to watch wildlife. I wanted these for travel/sports/shows, so I could live with it. i wouldn't call them "lightweight", but still light enough to wear around your neck for extended periods of time. I think the weight is another sign of the quality. Suitable for adults and older kids (11 & up). Men would probably prefer another colour.The instruction booklet is obviously translated into English from another language. Awkward, but still understandable.Quick shipping! They arrived sooner than expected. Features such as twist-up eyecups are usually only found on more pricey binoculars.The view is very bright and clear. Focusing of lenses done according to the instructions produces impressive results! I took them to a football game and could make out the texture of the turf and the players' jerseys from the lower rows of the upper deck, while also having a wide enough view (about 7 yards on the field) to follow plays. Also love the attached front lens protectors! I gave 4 stars rather than 5 only due to the padded shipping envelope being pretty thin. Luckily, the binoculars came inside a soft case in a box, so it wasn't too much of an issue. But I certainly would've expected better padding for an optical instrument.
