This is an awesome bat. My son loves it. For those who have cracked it, a wood bat has the stamp on the handle and the label on the barrel They should be completely vertical when swinging. Wood bat swinging 101

Holes in knob and cup side
Does anyone know why there are holes in the knob and barrel (cup) side of the bat? Pics attached:

Lasted One At Bat
My son loves the way the Kris Davis model swings, especially for an endloaded bat.But... it didn't last long. Warmed up doing pregame soft-toss in the cage, no problem. Then it cracked in his first game at bat. Smacked a line drive single to center field off the barrel (NOT off the handle). When my son got back to the dugout, he found a big crack in the bat down towards the handle -- check out the picture. We expect that sort of fragility from maple, but not birch. Never had a birch bat fail in ordinary use hitting balls of the barrel. This was a low quality piece of wood.I don't know if this is indicative of the quality of all Rawlings Kris Davis bats, or if we just got a lemon. Buyer beware.

Will not buy again.
Bat that arrived was not a MANNY MACHADO Pro Label Game Grade MAPLE WOOD BAT. Bat that arrived was a ASH WOOD BAT CUSTOM RAWLINGS PROFESSIONAL. Label looked like a sticker easily could peel off. And there was NO MLB INK DOT on bat! I was very disappointed especially when I know the quality of professional MLB wood bats. And it’s really frustrating when they ship the wrong item.

Completely Shattered on first pitch
Purchased this bat as a present for my nephew. In his first game and first at bat, he hit it square on the barrel and the bat shattered into pieces. They had to stop the game to pick up the debris. If he would have been sawed off, that is one thing, but when you hit it on the barrel and the bat shatters, you have to wonder about their quality control. This was suppose to be their top of the line bat, however, the kids I have coached have been sharing similar stories with me. If you do not want to be disappointed and cause your team an out when it should have been a hit, you should buy another bat from another manufacture.
