Hello there, nice to meet you! ;o)It's not everyday you find a well designed, inflatable roof rack that can solve a lot of issues with the type of car ( very small!) I have for my kayak. But now, the focus has changed, with no less usefulness of the roof rack. Why? My unique kayak weighs 100 lbs easily (I had truly forgotten how overly heavy my kayak is, as it has been a season or two since I used it last!) After installing the rack which was easy to do, I quickly realized the boat may exceed the weight the rack can honestly support. I think it can support kayaks however, quite possibly the more lightweight, shorter versions under 50 lbs. Ditto for other boats like canoes, SUPs, etc.My other use for this incredible, sturdy, well made inflatable roof rack is this: it's GREAT for cargo carriers, and camping too! I'm a firm believer in making sure all is strapped down well, and protecting my car too. (Confession: I dealt with serious damage to my previous SUV built-in roof rack, with 'help' from over zealous bellboys, who anchored my luggage a bit too firmly, and damaged my roof underneath.) This inflatable rack allows me to avoid those pitfalls when traveling.To me, inflatable means less wear and tear on my car, not to say, give up critical space in the back of my car that I need for my ailing dog who needs to stretch her back, as we travel along. So I'm back to traveling with my luggage/cargo carrier firmly anchored to this wonderful rack. Talk about peace of mind, and it's priceless! Joy! ;o)I've enclosed pictures showing the inflatable rack by itself. One small piece of advice; be careful placing the rear part of this rack too close to the antenna, as to not bend it. ;o)Give this wonderful OutdoorMaster Inflatable Roof Rack a try... I have a kayak I like to take out every once in a while, but traditional roof racks for Jeep Wranglers aren't cheap. This one is easy to install, easy to take down, and easy to store. The value is great for the product. Highly recommend!

This inflatable kayak rack is great for if you don’t have a roof rack or little car. It inflates well and the straps seem secure enough. It almost doesn’t work with my kayak bc i have a 12 ft Kayak. Smaller kayaks would definitely work easily with it. This is a great temporary substitute to a rack or if you need something every now and then.

We have a BMW X5. We have looked at installing a permanent roof rack system. Im glad we did not. This was a much nicer option for our needs and we were hoping for it to work well. We have used it now for our Kayaks and lumber runs to Home Depot. This has worked great. There is a bit of a learning curve at first but now can have it installed 5 minutes. It keeps our roof safe and our kayaks safely transported with the multitude of ways to strap down. We have seen other similar inflatable roof racks since receiving this one and they are not the same quality.Recommend 4.8 of 5 stars

The overall quality of the inflatable pads is very good! But be prepared for a bit of a puzzle for how to setup and install.If you’re new to carrying things on your roof, this product isn’t going to give you confidence that you’re ready to go, since it’s really up to you to figure out how to secure all straps in the safest manner. This is no different than strapping something directly to your roof, but now you can protect your paint. If roof/paint protection is what you’re looking for, then look no further.If you need a safe way to secure various items to your roof, beyond what you would do with some straps yourself, then keeping looking. But, if roof/paint protection is what you’re looking for, then this is the item for you!
