Drayton 08 016 15mm RT212 TRV Integral Head

Very impressed with these. Quite reasonably priced, they were quite easy to install - I particularly liked:- that you can use a normal spanner to tighten the section that goes into the radiator- the material isn't easily marked from tightening (pay attention Danfoss with the ras-c2)- no leaks - everything seals easily- doesn't matter which way the flow direction is - this valve just works - that helps also with allowing horizintal or vertical arrangement- easy to set a max temp on each headIn use they're pretty good - instantly provided regulation to the rooms.My only negatives are:- that they appear cheap e.g. the knurled screw to attach the head to the valve body is obviously chrome-effect plastic - but no-one is really going to see that....- the manual talks about a balancing function integral to these which I was curious to try, but it requires an obscure tool to do it. No harm - the other end of rad has a balancing valve...

Excellent quality thermostat, went on like a dream and worked perfectly.

The radiators in my house are all fitted with these TRVs, sadly after about 10 years the plastic on the top of some of them is starting to crack/break which both looks messy and when it gets to a certain stage the radiator ends up full on.Sadly you can't buy just the top part as a replacement you have to buy the entire valve, however the entire thing is still the same as it was 10 years ago so you can just throw away the metal pipework part and fit the top plastic part onto your existing valve.Does the job well and easy to replace the plastic part, I'm knocking a star off because it would be nice to be able to buy just the plastic part without having to buy the entire valve.

Bought this for the radiator next to my bed which has a habit of emitting a loud knock when the CH comes on at 3am to keep the house warm. I put some X800 in the CH a week or so ago and am planning to flush it out so that would be an ideal opportunity to change the TRV which I think is the culprit. However, I fitted the new head and cold weather has made me think twice about flushing right now. So far it hasn't knocked but I will change the TRV body when I do drain the system.The existing units have been fitted to my upstairs rads for about 14 years. The others are fine so I expect a similar lifespan.

Easily changed my old trv that was leaking, this one was easy to fit.

This bit of kit is excellent for controlling the temperature of a radiator. I no longer need to keep a set of pliers handy when I need to turn the rad up or down. This Integral Head does it for me. All I do is twist the top and the job is done. Several visitors have remarked at the pleasing aesthetic and functionality.Highly recommended

This product is of very good quality, very simple to install.

Annoying I only wanted the cap, not the whole valve, but this was cheaper than buying the cap for some reason.It is very good and easy to take the can off and put it onto an old value that's already fitted.
