Works great to get HDMI out to display Nintendo switch on TV. Also works for Samsung phone, laptops and probably more. Very convenient and easy to fit into a travel bag.

First off, the build quality of this dock feels solid, with a metal case and blue LED that lights up when connected/powered. I bought this as a portable option for docking my Nintendo Switch without having to bring my large OEM dock. It does work for that purpose, but with a few caveats. You have to have the switch turned on and TV on the correct input before plugging this dock in. Even still, it took me a few attempts of power cycling all devices before I could get it to display a consistent image. Once connected, it seemed to stay on and work for the few gaming periods I tested it with. Waking the switch via the remote did not turn my TV on or work at all for me, but that could be due to my older Samsung TV. CEC power on is generally pretty iffy on that particular TV.One bonus of this dock is that it also serves as a decent USB dock for my macbook air, and appears to charge it as well as work as a normal dock. So, that's a decent benefit for just bringing one device along while traveling.Overall, I'd say this is a fair deal, but I'd keep searching if you want a dedicated dock for your switch

This is a great Switch dock alternative that is a fraction of the size and can easily fit in a bag. It's reminiscent of these USB-C hubs that are made for laptops, but this one works with the Nintendo Switch. Build quality is great, having a mainly metal construction. Feels very solid overall. The IO is decent, with one USB 2.0 port and one USB 3.0 port (as opposed to the official dock which has three USB 2.0 ports). There's also a port to plug in the AC adapter. Keep in mind: if you want to output the Switch to a TV, you WILL NEED to plug in an AC adapter. Other than that, this little dongle works just as well as the official Switch dock (in my experience).Overall, great compact alternative to the official Nintendo Switch dock. Highly recommend!

1/4/2023The portable switch dock works as described. The blue and red c-type cable it comes with is bright and easy to spot quickly if you have a lot of wires. I do wish it was longer though, since sometimes outlets aren't in the ideal locations.The setup was extremely easy. If you can set up a regular switch dock, this is really no different. However, the card with the instructions does say something about the OLED switches needing more power (see picture). I'm not entirely sure what this means so I would contact customer support if you're confused about this too. I have a regular switch so this doesn't concern me.My family lives 2 hours away from me and visit often. I always take my switch and all of my controllers. I do take the dock with me but with this I can leave the dock at home and save space in the carrier. Plus, I have the monster hunter edition switch and I would like to keep it in good condition. Not taking it everywhere will ease my peace of mind. Finally, I do want to say that I'm a fan of sleek style. However, even though the the bright cable is nice for easy spotting, it doesn't match the silver hub.I'll make sure to further test it and play different games with it. If the product causes any issues I will update this review promptly.When I received this item it was priced at 27.99. The average price of a regular c-type to c-type cable seems to be around $5 give or take. So you're paying around 22 for the hub. I'd say thats a pretty fair price compared to other portable docks. If your most used console is the switch and you travel often, I would not hesitate to give this a go.

There is nothing better than a product that offers a simple solution that just works, and the RREAKA Dock just works. I've tested it both with my Switch and with my new Steam Deck OLED, and it flawlessly connects to my 4K TV, and my monitor with zero fuss. You need to bring your own USB power supply that has enough wattage to supply power to the dock which also supplies power to your Switch or Steam Deck. The Switch and Steam Deck power supplies work, and I have also tried a laptop USB C power supply and that also worked. There are two standard USB A ports (one 3.0) the USB power supply in port and the HDMI out. It worked with USB controllers and with a USB keyboard and mouse with my Steam Deck. For a low price, this is an excellent portable dock for ease of use and simplicity, and if feels well constructed.
