Reader's Digest COMPLETE GUIDE TO NEEDLEWORK Hardcover – January 1, 1980

I checked this book out of the library so many times during the eighties, I might as well have just kept it. I've been looking for it for a few years now, and am so happy to have found it again!I went from a beginning knitter to an intermediate one, just by following its diagrams.I used it for crochet and needlepoint too.Now I'm buying it for my husband, who wants a refresher on macrame.Love this book so much!

This book was recommended from a customer in another embroidery book review page, so I followed her recommendation and purchased the book. After I received it, I was really amazed--it got exactly what I'm looking for! Not just pretty images, but step by step including use of tools, different kinds of needle/knitting work, frame, mounting...this book is a library of needlework!

I love this book! I taught myself to crochet using this book. I love it so much that I purchased a second one after moving. It has so much information in it. I love the clear diagrams throughout every tutorial. I highly suggest this book for anyone interested in any needlework.

I love Reader's Digest instructional/informational books. It has lots of pictures and diagrams, supply and tool lists. I like having visual instructions right at my fingertips whenever I get the urge to get crafty. I can't always get to the computer (we have a shared computer) so this is perfect. It was delivered before the expected delivery date too!

I owned this book years ago and remembered it being a great reference for basics, like stitches used in needlepoint, crochet and other needle arts. And that it is. Although there are some sections reminiscent of the 70's (i.e. macramé), it is still good to have in your home arts and crafts book collection. And I might just pick up some new hobbies as a result.

Easy to follow drawings and directions. I give a copy of this to every friend that's learning to knit or crochet or quilt.

I love this book. My mother had bought it for me back in the 70's. I gave it away to a good friend in the 90's, then regretted it. When I saw it again I had to have it. If you enjoy sewing crafts, this is an excellent book.

After using the one in the local library, I knew what to expect. Being a crafting person, this will come in handy, without going to the library, as a reference for not only myself but a friend that also loves to do crafts.
