U-POLRaptor UP4807 White 4L Bed Liner KIT

It’s a good product & fun to use
I had a good experience with this. I used 8 liters to paint the outside & an inch around doors/fender/hood. I really didn’t have the time due to mid October weather, to do the bed, door jams & such but did pull the bed back & spray the back of the cab.It worked out well with two & a half-ish coats but I’d liked to have done all 3. It took an hour to do 4 liters/coat. When done with each bottle, I cleaned the gun, mixed the product & reshot... mostly so I wouldn’t skimp on the shaking since I knew the gun was drying the thinner out. I wasn’t looking to rush.My only issue is that I looked in the bottle (raptor white) & it looked the bright color of my grill prior to spraying but it came out a little different shade. The photo included is the way it looks from the sun at an angle. In bright sun, it looks pretty white, in late evening about an hour before sunset, it looks more yellow. It’s an odd thing.I was hoping it would be the GM White (or what I think GM white is) lol. Either way, great experience from the body work to the stress about etch primers & epoxy base coats to the sanding grit choices & the 15yr old chipping clear coat.Note that any imperfection on your body, will show up. I worked for 4 days on the body ABOVE the crease... kinda forgot about the bottom until after I sprayed & did a facepalm. The good thing is I have 4 more liters of product for the bed when the weather is better & I can scuff up & finish places I didn’t get around to.I think I’ve exhausted all of google’s raptor liner results on forums & sites... just remember it’s a bond with something that needs to be deep enough for it to bite. Some use 36 grit, I started with 120 but ended up with 80 as my trucks clear had to come off. A lot to learn about if you’re into that, otherwise, it’s pretty easy to do, fun & the best part is time with your project. The mess wasn’t bad, I sprayed in a garage where cheaply paid guys paint wrecked cars. The floor was normal shop floor concrete & when I was finished, it still looked the same. A bit of splatter where I shot the door trim with the door open but not a huge mess or anything to worry about, I could have done it in my driveway but wanted to use the 250gal compressor as mine is only 30gal 5cfm.UPol tech support got with me right away regarding the guy on YouTube with the beige expedition who sprayed 3 coats & could still find his primer... this is a response: “So, a couple of things. The tint that person had mixed could have had binder in it which weakens the color. Many people who use Raptor like to cheat the product by using a paint they already have in thier garage or get a cheap paint they think will work to make it quicker or save time or money. I don't really know the case. The Raptor white is a good covering color. All the Raptor colors cover well. Thats because when Raptor is applied its supposed to have 2 and a half coats. Many people do one what they think is a heavy coat and thing thats good enough. For your application because you have several different colors and an old liner of some sort, I would recommend you putting 2 coats of epoxy primer down first. One to make all the colors even and two it will lock all everything down under the Raptor. When applying Raptor you must wait at least a half hour between coats. Wait an hour between the second coat and the third 1/2 coat which will be the drop texture coat.”.I obviously opted to not do epoxy base coat & on the first pass, I knew this raptor white would cover all my colors with no issue by the heavier 2nd coat.Shipping was quick, pull the trigger & do a lot of prep. Speaking of, don’t use the $6ish blue tape from Lowe’s. The green tape is better but automotive tape is best. The blue stuff sticks & comes apart too much. I spent more time with a knife pulling off old tape than I did re-taping the entire truck. I pulled it about 30min after 2nd coat with no issues, rips or clingy things. That’s 2.5hrs after starting. I also forgot one on the inside of the door & let it dry for 36hrs, it pealed right off. Blue tape from the big stores wouldn’t have & it would have been a huge mess. Use a tooth pick to go around edges while spraying if you need it crisp. On a side note: If you spray inside, note that this stuff releases toxins & gas for a long time, if not forever. Just because the smell is gone, doesn’t mean it’s ok to breathe. Be sure to air out a hot interior before getting in if it’s been sprayed.Update: God I typed a lot! Lol, added a couple more recent pics. The color is better after a week or two of curing.

Love this stuff
I have used this product on multiple projects and it's great. Just did the floor and interior sides of my 22 blue wave boat and it looks brand new. Only did one coat as I should have ordered 3gals 1 was barely enough to cover so I am not sure yet about durability yet.

It Raptor what more can I say
This works just like so many of the other Raptor bed liners i have used in the past, I will continue to purchase and use their product. I have tried many other liners and none seem to give the texture and apperance that I am looking for. Raptor keeps it shine for years in the hot Florida sun.
